I asked for an appointment with physiotherapy. I want want more advice on regards to exercise.
It varies so much on what we can do and when i wanted some sit down exercise so when im ill. I don't go back to far ie muscles getting weak. I get a type of sprained ankle feeling.
I have sprained my ankle as a child quite a lot. I feel this is a weak area for me. also my arms are much weaker than my legs i wish to improve things if i can. I am pleased as i haven't had to wait long for an appointment. It is in holidays so hub will have son.

    Hi Joanne,

Recon that's a very good idea and hope it will help to have them. The ankle thing, know what you mean it does seem if you really hurt them as a kid they never feel or are as strong again.

Hey when you get the exercises please let us know what they are  Luv and a ((( ))) Cris xx

Good thinking there, Joanne! I know you can use hand weights to strengthen your arms and these could be done sitting down. You can remove some of the weights if they are too heavy to begin with. My mum was given some either from the physiotherapist or the OT, not sure, but I know she did not buy them. I do a few arm exercises every day, to try to keep my arms from getting weak. I am sure you will be able to get some ankle exercises that can be done sitting down on the not so good days.

I wish you all the best with that, you are most enterprising with all that you do and are doing. Well done. :) I think your gp can see that you mean business and no messing, with Joanne!!

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.
