Hi Noodles, and welcome to the forum.
I have OA but of hips and knees so can't really help. However as Toni says other on here have the same condition as you and will post later.
Nuisance about the appointments being cancelled - and TWICE!! Has your GP given you pain killers and anti-inflammatories to tide you over until you finally get your hospital appointment in Aug?
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -
Hi Noodles and welcome from me too!
Not good about the cancelled appointments - hopefully your appointment is earlier in August rather than later?
In terms of what's normal, I'm not really sure there is such a thing where arthritisy things! I have RA so can't help with specific questions but there will be other peeps along soon I am sure.

Hi Noodles,
A welcome fro me as well, they re a good lot here. I am sorry you have this but well mine started in my 20's and well what I do know is its not as bad as you fear it to be. I see the pain clinic and have some decent pain control and have had surgery as well but now its too unstable for them to operate so.....
Hang in there and let us know how your appointments in August go. Nice to meet you, Cris x0 -
Hi noodles and welcome to the forum from me too. hope you'll enjoy being part of our happy band.
I have PA in my neck and back as well as other joints so not sure if the treatment for you will be different as yours is OA. am sure there are other peeps on the forum with OA and who can tell you about their treatment / advise you better. x
glad your getting good pain relief and I really hope you don't get any more cancelled appointments. :!:
let us know how the appointment goes.
