physio on neck

hi had to go for physio on neck as ever since fell last year(because of arther) have had trouble that would not settle down . she was great has had one her self so knew all about it showed me pictures in book that had pain exactly where mine was lol and numbness she did some work on back was very uncomfertable but not very painfull it crunched at one bit and does feel much better she gave me exercises to do layed down as this takes weight off neck and use heat so much better now do not see her for two weeks as she is away so might be much better by time i see her will keep pain meds up for a while to make sure sleep

That's wonderful Val. What a relief to know she had the same problem, gives you confidence in her.
Yes if you have to wait for two weeks for next apt I would still take your pain meds.
Fingers crossed as I know you have had a really bad time with your neck.

Val I am so glad you have a good physio, what a difference it make when you have confidence in them.
I hope it goes well and you really feel the benefit, but take your meds they make doing the exercises easier.

had to have a nap when got back she said to lay down for 10min when get back from work and do exercises bet will fall to sleep but good excuse to go lay down valval0

Val that is a brilliant tip..to lie down while doing excersises, and take the weight off.
Trouble is I wouldnt be able to get up again :roll:Love

does work though does not hurt like does when doing it sat or stoodval0

that is such good news val. sounds as though your physio knows what she's about.
for all of us with neck arther it will be interesting to follow your progress over the weeks...so keep posting!

she said i got widows hump coming that was not great news lol although had noticed am i 49 or 79val0

Val, that is great news about the physio knowing her stuff and the exercises and heat helping.
Re widows hump .... do you take calcium and vit D suppliments? I just looked up what it was and these are suggested as good as a preventative measure.
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0
