Put your finger on it........

I was trying to put my finger on the one thing that really helps us, the one thing that we take from this forum, the one thing we all benefit from.
Support, a cloaked persona, putting a distance to your pain by writing about it here, sociability, a lessened feeling of frustration and inequality, group interest, medicine reviews, becoming 'one of the few', benefiting from others practical experiences, a time filling experience, humour, shared knowledge of hospital systems, ability to just rant and let off steam without social recourse, promote medical justice for all, or FUN, all important factors and I'm sure there are many, many more, which one do you want?
8) Its a grin, honest!

Hi Airwave, I know that its good to get feedback. Everytime I put an article up on here I find it comforting to see people have read what I have said and some make a reply.
We all cope with our problems in diferent ways, I find having someone who can understand what we suffer make the answers that we get more direct to that problem. I think the most Important thing we all have in common is HOPE.
I hope you feel better soon and I hope you can get thing back on track. See its all about hope0 -
Yep, I too get a huge amount of goodness from this site.
The main thing for me I think is that when I send a message to someone to give support, advice or positivity as it reminds me to follow my own advice and I feel a wee bit better!
I was having a bit of a downer lately about stupid nonsensical things really in the grand scheme of things, and the words of encouragement and support really helped.
I cannot thank everyone enough for taking the time to send messages.
Hope you are all having a decent day today and a grrrrreat sleep tonight
Keep smiling, Carol0 -
Eh! Airwave ... you've said everything I think about this site.
You're the 'Tops' the lot of you. I don't know and can't understand, with all that you all put up with, how you manage to be so supportive of miserable drips like me ........ but I'm glad you have it and that you do. When I win the lottery we'll have a grand get together and I'll send transport to fetch you all and take you home.
Keep your chins up ......... if nothing else, it stops the flab gathering, which would then clout you round the ears when you shake your head to say 'no'.

I echo everything that has been said regarding the Forum. It is all of the things mentioned.
However, probably the most important thing for me is that it helps keep things in perspective. On a bad day, there is, sadly, always someone much worse. It teaches me to be appreciative of what I can do, rather than what I can`t............Ange.0 -
Hey, I hope my hugs are big enough to embrace the world.
While we're on about home deliveries from the cafe, surely thats what a kitchen does? Everything goes round that in our house.......
Must dash back to the barbie, I expect its raining round the rest of the UK?

I think you've said it all....well said.....Another thing {which might have been mentioned and I missed LOL} is being able to as what might seem {to someone without arthur} a silly question and know someone somewhere here will have gone through the same thing...thats comforting
Love
