Hi Guys, just wondering if any of you can help me. I started on 10mg of Methotrexate last week, had second dose on Friday night. After taking it I have slept for most of the weekend. Please can you tell me is this usual or is it something else making me sleepy.
Would be grateful for any advice anyone can offer. Thanks, Brenda

Hi Brenda MTX does make you very tired, I;m out for a couple of days when I take mine.
Julie xx((((hugs)))) n xxxxx to ya all0 -
I agree that when I started MTX and since then particularly when increasing the dose, I have often experienced greater tiredness than usual for me on the two days after I take the MTX.
however, for me this does lessen with time, and also varies as to how tired I was when I took the MTX. IF I am very tired when I take it I suffer more, if I've slept well I suffer less. Strange but true!
hope yours gradually lessens as your body gets used to it.
hugs

Thanks Cris, too early to tell if it will work I guess, but was getting concerned as haven't been a ble to keep awake the last two afternoons, so am reassured by what you say. I had a steoid jab in my bot when I had my diagnosis (1 July) and that has calmed things down a lot, things are much more bearable now. Hope you are keeping well Cris and not overdoing it too much. Thank you so much for your reply, Love and hugs (((((((())))))) Brenda xx0

Hi Brenda,
Its hard sometimes... akin to pushing a steam roller up hill with the handbrake on! Not over done a thing today.... took all day to do it....   I really hope it works for you and you escape the side effects. ((())) Cris xx0 -

Hi Brenda
when do you take it ?? i take mine after a big meal in the evenings so that the worst of the tiredness is during the night if that makes sense???
hopefully your body will adjust to it as you take it more?
take care.
