    Hi Coco

I have been on diclo which is an anti inflammatory med and the other is a stomach protector. The third med does not ring a bell with me.

    Hi Coco,
I take omprazole as a stomach protector and a different anti-inflammatory to you. The anti inflammatory is effective and if I ever forget to take it (very rare) I quickly realise. Different inflammatories suit different people - it is sometimes a case of trial and error. They work best if taken regularly.

zopiclone is a hynotic. I was prescribed a hypnotic a few years ago when experiencing a period of non-arthritis related insomnia - can't remember if it was this particular one or another one in the hypnotic family. It did cure my insomnia - but not in the way you might think!! I took one the first night and shortly after taking it - my breathing changed without me consciously changing it ie it slowed and deepened like during deep relaxation. My body felt heavy and very relaxed. My mind was still very aware of what was going on and my thoughts were whizzing - but I like to be in control and I didn't like it. I could still move if I wanted to, but it was like I imagine hypnosis would make you feel ... after that all I had to do was put the packet of tablets on bedside table and tell myself if I didn't fall asleep in an hour I would have to take one!! And threat was enough for me!!

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

    Hi

I was on Diclofex, but i wasnt given any stomach protectors. For me Diclofex didn't work, so im now on Omeprazole, and melxocam, aswell as other medication for arthritis. Im still in the early stages of the doctors sorting out my medication... :?
