I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Hi, I've had nerve condution tests they showed that my carpel tunnel needed doing and ulner nerve needs may need something done in the future. The plastic surgeon, who deals with nerve release surgery sees me every six months. Last time he said he would do the tests again to see if their was a difference, but I said it wasn't bothering me much and I'd rather leave it for now, if thats OK he agreed as long as I promised to ring up and ask for an emergency appointment if things became worse.

I hope you get meaningful results that give the doctors some ideas abuot the treatment you need next.

    Love Sye

Did you find the answer tho tjc? I know that clawing can be a result of arthritis as well as other conditions but could they help you with an answer? I hope that things are improving for you, even if only slowly. DD

    Hi DD

No not really my rheumy just said that the tests weren't to bad at all & now I am waiting for a appointment to see her in clinic. She did say she might try me on a different drug with me having had a bad reaction to hydroxy. but Im not sure what the next step is.

She is a lovely lady but she seems to work in slow motion.

    Thanks again

Well, that's a mixture of positive (not too bad) and frustrating (wait for an appointment and possible drug change). Are your meds options limited due to the fibro? I hope you are seen soon and I wish you well. DD
