Hi Colin, and lovely to see you posting :!: :D:D

I can't answer your question, but if you look on this link there are lots of 40s events round the country. Scroll down to see the latest. Not sure if it's any help, but thought it might be.

I think it was Vonski writing about a forties weekend event in Haworth in West Yorkshire, Colin

I`m not sure if it was an annual event though........Ange.

    Hi Colin
If you live anywhere near Yorkshire, the 1940s weekend is on in Harworth in may, Its a weekend...and not to be missed.
They take it very serious and come from all over the country dressed up.
There are all the ranks of the army and air force, and they all know there place.
They have 1940s dancing in the street, and even have an air raid and flyovers.
There are other across the country , but we find this by far the best.

Yes, for sure it was Haworth and it took place in May this year and it was Vonski who started that thread.

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.
