I should imagine that £1000 per person is about right.

I think if people are so rich that they can afford to spend this much on a meal, they should give their money to charity instead.

I dislike New Year with a frightening intensity. I tend to work from birthday to birthday instead - much nicer! DD

Have you noticed the 'gap' between birthdays has got smaller....when I was a kid it was at least 5 years between my birthdays :?

£800. No need for 99p or £99 to make it look better when it costs that much.

And the answer is £ 900... 00.p..... thats right 900. And you only get this price if you have a table of 10, otherwise its a grand.
Wow some of you were very close.
For that price I would have to have Frank Sinatra doing the cabaret.
The local chippy it is then, just about out of my price range.
never mind all this posh food...when your hungry cant beat chippy :D

I guessed right, and it was only a guess :!:

But anyway, I've decided to pass on it this year. It would be full of nouveaux riches trying to impress the hoi polloi. The truly posh people ( take the Posh test to see whether you qualify ) will be down the chippy with me :D

The truly posh have fish 'n chips, out of the paper, on the beach with champagne, accompanied by the larbradaws (one chocolate and two balck or vice-versa) Very civilised! DD
