Hi, I'm so sorry for you. I've had quite a few physio's and some better than others, but never been treated like that! How did you keep your temper, I don't think I could! I know building up muscle strength can help with pain ect (see my thread today) but you need help and sympathy, with medically trained trainers, or you can damage yourself more!!
The NHS should provide that basic physio and gym referral schemes with medical trainers or you could hurt yourself. It does here as I've been on courses, but want to specialise now so I'm paying for palates classes!!! Its not as much as I thought though, but I'm lucky to be on a small pension and a husband who helps financially or I could'nt do it.0 -
Hi, I'm sorry you had a negative experience at physio. They do seem to be either brilliant or awful.
Before my op, mine was shocked that I was still working and that I wasn't on light duties only (as a special needs teacher) and working in retail is not a (physically) easy job either ... you only have to read the posts on the working forum.
Surprised she was working as a physio - maybe her ambition is to assess people for ESA ...
It wasn't her place to be offering you career advice!!
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -

I am in a gym and he is good i think i will stick with him and ignore this woman. It seems a lot have opinions and i think the government has made things worse rather than better dont feel there is personal choice now.
I was told at same hospital i did not have to work if did not want to now some are going along with government as it is now out of doctors hands. I have heard the pct may be faced out and doctors gp will get more power. we will have to wait and see. what a mess it all is. Hope u keeping well from joanneJoanne0 -
Hi Joanne
Glad that at least the Gym physio knows his stuff and is able to help you !
You've had a very irritating setback - hope things pick up for you now..
Best wishes
