    Morning Lynn

So sorry to hear that you are feeling unwell and with a horrid migraine. Oh, I remember them so well, when I was younger. I used to say to my mum I wish I was dead, they were that bad. I do hope that you were able to sleep as that is best when unwell and that you feel a little better this today.

    Love and hugs

Oh dear, so sorry to hear they've returned. Hope the meds kicked in and you're feeling better now?

Had a sleepless night myself - don't know why, but feeling very 'jetlagged' now! Will be heading off to my bed pretty darned early tonight!

I do hope those pesky migraines go away soon. Something you could well do without!

    Take care,

Hi Lynn - sorry you are feeling so rough. You really don't need the migraines on top of everything else do you. Extra large can of WD40 on the way to you - along with "get well soon" thoughts. Hope you did manage to get some sleep eventually.

    Hi Lynn,
so sorry you're having such a bad time just now. :(
Migraines are just terrible....my twin sis gets them really bad too and has to lie down in a darkened room until it passes...which can take a couple of days....and even then feels totally wiped out after.

I do wish that you didn't also have the worry about the Mtx not working at the lower dose.... I've got no words of wisdom about that other than to say that maybe you should talk it all over with your rheummy to see what options he can suggest? Injectable Mtx can be done at the surgery if you don't want to do the injections yourself. :|

Sometimes Mtx just isn't the answer but there are plenty other meds around...I had to have a spell without Mtx and was given azathioprine instead in combo with the antitnf for a while.

Try not to worry Lynn....concentrate on getting rid of the migraine and don't be (no need to be) apologising for not posting elsewhere.

    (((hugs))))

I'm glad you have had some rest, that does help. You say that the meth isn't working quite as well - are you flaring too, or has that been 'hidden' by the migraine? I know that these drugs do not work for ever, perhaps something else could be added to the mix, or another treatment tried. You never know, perhaps you could now tolerate a slightly larger dose - it is a nightmare, I realise that, all the trial-and-error we have to go thro. Injected meth is an alternative and you wouldn't have to do it yourself. My hospital insists that they do it, and I'm sure that others go to their docs for it. It might be an avenue worth considering - if the tablet form has worked the injected form could be more beneficial and get things under control again. Thinking of you. DD

Oh Lynn, I'm sorry that you feel so awful, migraines are hell. I'm also sorry that you are worrying about the MTX not doing the trick now. One thing, your stomach could well be used to it after all this time, so putting it up just a little may well not upset it too much.

Hope you feel better soon, am sending a cyber migraine-zapper (my own invention) and lots of (((((((((()))))))))).

    Love

Hello Lynn, Not crossed paths for a good while but I have been thinking of you.
It takes a couple of days after a bad attack to feel normal again.
It is difficult to admit that things are not going as well as you hoped. Not been a great year for you has it?
I have my fingers crossed that it is a blip as you say.

    Some TLC recommended

Here I am, lovely Lynn, safe and sound.

I can`t answer any of your questions about flares, as I`m OA, as you know, but so many of the others can and will.

What I do want to say is that I think you are treating this latest hiccup in exactly the right way. So, continue to bring it all out into the open, ask questions, make observations, and share your fears. Then take some soft time, to chew everything over, and see if you have any decisions that you need to make.

As always, I send you all the love in the world.........Ange.

If you have over-done things it sorts itself out with a couple of days rest. If it's a flare it goes on and on and on and on - I started this last Thursday and have slept for England. It's not done yet. Anyway, just 'cos I'm having a rough time doesn't mean I can't spare a thought for others who may or may not be in a similar boat - I'm glad to read that you are feeling brighter - that shone through in your words. This is a good thing - keep resting! DD

    Hiya Lynn :D

hey that was some dream  haven't a clue what it meant but like the fact you were managing to sell your used splints...even if it was to some poor old lady. :lol:

I think arther springs so many different flares on us ...sometimes I can have a flare that lasts just a couple of days then returns with a vengeance a week later and holds court for weeks...

It does leach every ounce of strength out of you...so please be careful not to overdo it just as you begin to feel better. As for blood tests ? well they don't always reflect what's going on...whether it's the meds that mask the effects I really don't know.

    (((hugs))))

Iris xxx who's glad you're feeling a bit better.

    Hi Lynn,

Hope you're feeling tons better by the time you log on and catch up again.

A flare for me is when my pain levels are very high and sleep only makes me feel very slightly better. Flares are when it's hard to cross a room, everything is out of reach and I can't even wipe my nose (let alone anything else  ). I usually have a raging sore throat too.

When I've overdone things sleep and rest make me feel better, even if it takes a few days.

Hopefully you have just overdone things but if not, you need to get in touch with your Rheumy or nurse, even if you don't want to  , because you can't go on feeling so grim.

As for the old blind woman buying the wrist splints, do you suppose your body was really wanting her to purchase your RA  ......I know, logically you'd have paid her to have it but it was a dream afterall.

Healing thoughts being sent your way.t5109.gif

    Hi Lynn

Just calling in to say hi and check on you. Glad you managed to post and hope to continue to feel another tidge better tomorrow too. What a lovely word tidge  Many tidges could hopefully make a feeling okish day I hope. Sorry I am rambling and as you know lovey I can't begin to understand flares or migraines in the way many of you sadly have too. I am however a firm believer that whatever meds you are on, restfull sleep and lots of it can only be a good thing when you are hurting. I know it isn't as simple as that but I hope you know what I mean and are not up with the dawn chorus and in pain again.

Have been thinking of you and will look in tomorrow if I can. take care, sleep well. Let us know how things are when you can.
    love always (((( ))))

Hoping you too are feeling a weee bit better this morning Lynn
