Blood test.....

Hi Everyone.

I had a blood test done in June as am on Methotrexate so have them 2 monthly.

Just been for my next blood test and my results for June showed abnormal as i have a low white cell count.

My nurse said it wasn't low enough to worry but low enough to show up if you know what i mean.So just wondering if any of you ever have low white cell count?

I did have a cold at the time so she said it was probably that, that caused it but looking on the Internet (stupid i know) Its saying about Leukemia etc....:S

Hi Julie here.
I have had Ra 22 years so I am used to going for blood tests. I have been on methotrexate for a numer of years. I keep getting told about my liver function been up and down. This is also worrying but as long as my rheumatologist is happy with my bloods I don't worry.
I know this comment isn't about your white cells but I hope it helps

In May my white cell count dropped......

I had a virus.........

Virus cleared and white cell count went back to 'normal'....

Nurse told me quite normal to happen

Ok thanks so it looks like it was just due to my cold at the time then.

Its just so worring when you look these things up on the Internet lol x
