You keep posting girl - your contributions are wonderful. We will support you before, during (we're good at that, even if you can't log on due to unconciousness) and after - as you have probably spotted with dorcas' thread and a few others. I have one question: how will the salon cope without Moreees on said day? Will there be lots of disappointed ladies? DD

    Hi to every one
I have come to the conclusion as I was balancing my self against the work top. I must have been a flamingo in a past life. My face is always pink with huffin an puffin and I obviously try to stand on one leg. Trouble is that leg is as bent as john waynes lol. So i am more like tower of pizza.
    Love hearing all your comments
    You are a great bunch
    Love you all

Now I know how the flamingo related nickname came about ....

Is your op a day surgery thing? Glad OH is going with you ... even if he does feed his face!

Morning PF, how are the butterflies today? Still fluttering? I guess you are sick and tired of operations, they are a trial and they always take longer to get over than one thinks. Day surgery might not be sooo bad, but that doesn't detract from the unfairness of the whole thing. I've given up on the concept of fair - it's one of those ideals that just cannot be realised. Anyway, I hope you and Maurice are well today. I must go and sort my breakfast - pills beckon! DD

Some fret, some don't. I feel for you, it's not a pleasant feeling. I've had two eggs so now off to do my meds. A coffee sounds good - I might go for one of those. I too have ironing to do but lack the legs (due to pain) and the stamina (thanks to the pain) to tackle it, so I'll put that off. Don't stew - come on here and tell us about it, we'll do our best to cheer you. DD

I think you are pretty good at replies - some of your comments have been wonderful. If you are a natural at conversation it isn't hard. I suspect that you are a good natterer! My post has just arrived - nothing good, a bank statement. All that postage and paper to tell me I have nothing. Poo. DD

    Hi Julie/PF

I am so sorry you are having to cope with so much - but sounds as if you have a great sense of humour which always helps! Can't add anythiing to what's already been said, except to say that I hope it is day surgery - and I hope it goes really well for you and makes life a bit easier afterwards.

Hi every one and good morning hope you are all feady for a fun packed weekend :)

No I haven't had a steroid boost just dreaming. Wish I could go with hubby to dolby forest on saturday , he is going with a couple of mates mountain biking. He does right, he deserves it. :):)
My brain says I can ride a bike but my hands and body say I can't. Wonder if a mono cycle would be any good

Hi woodbon It is next wed the 11th when i have the procedure and I will keep every one posted how I will be doing . I might want a good moan.

Hi lilly top and dreamdaisy Thanks for your encouragement . I am gonna read one of the agony aunt pages in a mag to get tips. I might have my own page some where then
Just imagine pink flamingos agony column :) It would prob end up in a vets mag.

Hello PF, you sound OK today. Of course Maurice deserves a day off from the salon and all the swooning blue-rinsed ladies - a man can only take so much! Seriously, I always encourage The Husband to go off and do stuff on his own and he is getting better at so doing. For much of the time I lack the stamina and energy for socialising but that shouldn't mean that he can't go out! My temper is foul at the mo so I probably won't be about much today - you take care, keep posting, we're here if you need us (well, some will be - me possibly not!) DD

Hi every one. The week has gone so slow probably cause I am waitin for wednesday. Stress is feeding arthur big time.
My elbow has now erupted on a nodule so now I have plasters on that. Not nice stuff and very sore.

Hi to marion rose and julie(snowball)
I really find the forum helpful as I think I have already said.
My pocket is getting quit fat now with all you lovely people wishing me well for wednesday. I will be taking you all with me . :)

Hi trish, yes I will probably get the phantom pain but I can cope. It just makes you talk aloud and the leg jumps up it's rather funny really, especially when it is quiet all around. :)
I hope you are having a better day today and that you enjoyed your night out with your lovely OH.

To all my other friends on here, have a lovely day, weather not going to be too bad , so try and enjoy it.

    Love julie PF xx

Maurice has gone off today hasn't he? Are you OK? I have a vision of you huddled up in the corner of the sofa, trembling and trying not to cry - I hope to god I'm wrong. You know we're here, keep your computer fired up and ready, tell us all about it. You are getting great support from trish - who does know exactly what you are going thro - the rest of us will do our bit. You are going to need ENORMOUS pockets, and I might fire up the MASH unit. I'll see if I can find one of its threads - I think you'll like it! Basically, it's sited in mell's workshop, skezier provides clean straw, we have an abundance of nurses, mell provides tools, livinglegend does the surgery, noeltone is the consultant ('cos he's a thoughtful chap)airwave and babycham man the bar, frog makes tea, and we all have a whale of a time. I am thinking of you, my lovely pinkflamingo. Hang on in there girl. DD

Hello, I hope you are OK today. Are you and Richard doing anything nice? The Husband and I are in separate parts of the house, each on our computer. At least I presume he's upstairs - I can't hear anything! DD
