Good Morning Peeps!
Just arranged my first 'medical' assessment with Atos for 11th August.
I wonder why I am feeling cynical and that it will be a waste of time.
Must take my own advice and start thinking positive and that they will give me the winning numbers for the lottery
Hey ho!
Hope you are all having a decent day today and keep smiling

Well well Carol......
I've got my first Atos medical at Corunna House Glasgow on the 12th!
I'm just as cynical and expect it to be a complete and utter farce but intend going well prepared...my first question to him/ her is going to be ' What is your medical background...and what do you know about Arthritis!'
Are you taking someone with you? pity we're not going to the same centre on the same day...we could've been each other's representative!

Good luck to the pair of you. I have no idea what these things entail but give as good as you get, both of yous. (Is the dialect right?) DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Take someone with you as you will find differences in their/your opinion when you get the report. I know you wont have to either but make it your worst day ever, get help into and out of a chair, onto and off examining couch. Im only saying this as I was too honest with mine and tried to do things but honesty doesnt always pay with ATOS.......Claim expenses too at reception desk.
Good Luck

Hi Carol
Try not to worry too much about your appointment. If they give you any hassle tell them to contact your GP or the consultant.
I can understand you feeling anxious especially as ATOS have had some bad press. It's not wonder folks are getting upset and worried.
Take care and good luck next week.

Iris, sending positive thoughts to you along the M8. I shall dispatch them now as you know what the traffic is like on the M8!
Many thanks my Friends for support.
I am not really anxious about the meeting. I think I actually need to just chill out about it as I am already hearing the Rocky theme tune in my head ready for a fight
Iris, you made a brillian point about asking about their medical qualifications - I would love to ask that - dare I?
Many thanks everyone once again and massive luck to Iris.
Keep smiling,

Hi Carol
lots of luck to you too... maybe you'll be lucky and have an assessor who knows what s/he's doing. The 'blurb' that came with the appointment letter said that the assess can take anything from 20mts to an hour.
Will you have someone with you?
