does anybody else suffer in the humidity....i swear thats whats been triggering the flares I've been having recently, nothing too bad just constant its chipping away at my positive outlook :x
Last night I was miserable I could sleep so I sat up and tried to read but my fingers locked into position after about 5mins and I then spent 30mins trying to free the book from their grasp
I was dog tired but so uncomfortable I couldn't do anything and I was stuck upstairs so I was marooned from the distraction of rubbish overnight telly! I just feel like i've been run over by a truck and then he keeps coming back and running me over time and time again.
I don't think the fact that I've been stressed and busy with work and family has helped but theres not much I can do about that at the moment
Looking forward to a day off tomorrow and thursday (our wedding anniversary) but I'm worried i'm not going to enjoy it because I'm so sore and tired.
I'm on a higher dose of MTX, extra anti inflam's and painkillers but nothing seems to help at the moment - any ideas would be welcome
sorry for the moan
Chrissie

    Hi Chrissie

Well I hope today is a wee bit better for you :(

If it's humidity making you worse then I am not suprised.

Have you thought about talking books?? You can play them in bed and use earphones so the OH isnt disturbed. I do know what you mean about distraction helping.

I do hope your anniversary is lovely for you both :D

    Love

    Hi chrissie

The weather affects me too, some times too hot that my joints swell and when it is cold or damp i stiffen like crazy.

When I can't get to sleep I listen to radio 5 live , It is so boring i just nod off.

Hope you feel better for your anniversary and that you can celebrate with minimum pain.

    love juliexx

I bet the heart consultant isn't being too sympathetic either, which won't help! I too am buckled under the powerful grip of a flare but I don't think it's to do with the weather. High humidity is miserable, it does make everything heavy-going, so I sympathise. I can only echo what the others have said - get plenty of rest when you are able, palm the two year old off on friends for play dates etc!, and I hope you enjoy your anniversary. DD

Hi, I find this weather very hard to put up with. It seems to get to the joints, I think its the humidity.

I hope you have a nice day for your anniversary and manage to feel well enough to enjoy it!

    Lots of love Sue

    Hi Chrissie
I always thought it was just me,till I came on this forum, the humidity, and really hot weather, be it dry or not, makes the pain so much worse.
    You enjoy your Anniversary
Hope you feel better, and enjoy your evening out
    Love

Hello joined the forum today! thank goodness I spotted your post!
My whole body gives in with the warm weather, and the tiredness is overwhelming.

I felt like I was telling lies when generally people say......so does the damp/cold weather bother you? Noooo! Its bring on the snow days for me. :)

Hello cebeem, nice to meet you. The weather makes no difference to me - valval is right, it gets us all differently. I have PA (psoriatic arthritis). What ails you? DD

Husband asleep on the sofa, what else has a girl to do on a Saturday night? This is as goods as it gets now! I am tired, just emerging from a nine day flare but only thanks to steroids. It's a fake better but better than what went before. I hate to desert you but I am off to bed now. I will respond properly tomorrow. Sleep well. DD

Hello cebeem (did I spell that right?) I hope things are not too bad with you today.

Replacement knuckles - I had no idea they could do such a thing. What astonishing technology - surely that will be a long operation? I guess that ligaments and tendons will have to be attached or summat like - will your hand have to be immobile for a while after? When are you hoping to have this done? DD
