My latest five paintings are online for a limited time. It is a slideshow that uses Flash, but most computers should already have it installed. None of the paintings are currently for sale.

I have looked at your paintings. They are so good. I like the Roman Bridge that is my favourite.

You are an excellent painter Joseph. They are all so good.

    Well done

    Hi Joseph

Your paintings are breath-takingly beautiful as usual. I love your use of colour, and the atmosphere you create, particularly in ''Old industry long gone'', and ''Beach at Barmouth''. Well done, and thank you for posting the link.

A little bit of history. The picture was painted using one of my photographs taken about 25 years ago for reference. The factory, chimney and location regarding the sea are reasonably accurate.

The factory buildings are no longer there, but surprisingly as of July, 2006, (Google Earth satellite picture), the chimney was still standing in a fenced off area. The location is at the end of Sandstell Road, Tweedmouth on a cleared piece of land on the south bank of the River Tweed where it enters the sea.

On the photograph the sky was a dull grey and the sea fairly flat. With a little 'artistic license', I think the painting looks much better.

Your 'artistic licence' was very successful, Joseph. The colours in the sky are beautiful. I am sitting here admiring your two paintings which are hanging on the walls in my sitting room, and wondering where I could fit in a third one!

Oooooooh. My favourite was the first one, Beach Near Barmouth. The others were good but that one really held my attention. Thank you Joseph, that was a treat on a miserable Wednesday morning. DD

Yes, you ARE a Living Legend!

My favourite was The Beach one as I couldn't take my eyes from the sky.

Many thanks for sharing your paintings - very talented.

What a shame they are not for sale ..... I was about to offer you £10m for the beach one

Can I bid £20 for the Queen of Egypt :D It's worth much more but that's all I can afford!

When are you next having an exhibition, Joseph? Would love to come and see the paintings for real. I'm not much good looking at art on a computer screen and it will be a bit of "culture" for my hubby and kids (I drag them to exhibitions and the theatres every once in a while).
