Once again the sword of Damocles hangs over our heads. Hubbie has been told his job is at risk. Again! He was made redundant last year two months after we got married. We'd just started to feel secure again and now its all gone tits up.

Just to build the suspense the company have said he will be told at some point between now and November if he is to go. Brill.

Its so frustrating as its not like I can go out and get a job and support us. The pressure is all on him.
Plus Harry is not very well, he's been running a bit of a temperature and is generally out of sorts. He's possibly got a tooth come through although it could be a calcium deposit as he's pretty young for teeth (3 months old).

On the plus side my brain scan came back normal but still waiting for my new drugs so having to spend a lot of time in bed.

    Hi Jenz

I'm so sorry to hear about hubby and his job. Let's hope if it is going to happen he has the time to try and get another job.

This is terrible that people are coming into this country and getting job and our own are left without jobs. This is wrong so b%%%dy wrong

About Harry no he could be teething. There have been babies born with teeth.
He may have an ear infecton through teething as well so watch to see if he rubs his ear.

I hope he can find a job

    Love Trish xxx

    Hi Jen

I'm sorry to hear about your worries. It is awful to have this hanging over you just at a time when you should be enjoying Harry without any cares. I do hope your husband doesn't lose his job, or that he finds a new one. My son-in -law was out of work for 8 months last year, so I know the upset it causes. Luckily, he has got a good job again now, but nothing seems secure these days.

I hope Harry will soon be better.

    Joan xx

Sorry to read your worrying news. Its a dreadful worry as everybody needs to keep paying their bills, mortgage/rent and heating etc. the benefits arent enough especially if you have a mortgage.

Take care, hope Harry feels better soon.

Thanks for the replies everyone, it means a lot.

Harry had a better day today and is currently tucked up in bed. He is perfecting the art of shouting in his sleep, which he did at 2am and 4am then woke for food at 6am then went back to sleep til 8am (after going to sleep at 7pm the night before as normal). He shouts just enough for either me or hubbie to get our feet on the floor or get to our bedroom door before he shuts up. Slightly frustrating and I'm sure he does it on purpose! He also managed to wiggle up his cot bed so I could hear him playing with a toy that had been left in his cot. For someone who can't roll over or even sit up he managed to wriggle to the top of the cot whilst encased in a sleeping bag - he must have looked like a caterpillar.

Still stressed about hubbies job (proved by nightmares and sleeplessness in equal turn) but we're trying to get a plan A, B and even C in place. Its just the uncertainty which is the killer. Not great for the old RA and Fibro either.
I'm still waiting on the hospital with no sign of an appt any time soon. I'm going to ring them up if I haven't heard anything by the end of next week.

    Hi Jen

Sounds like Harry has got you right where he wants you already .. clever boy!!

My daughter used to have me up and down like a blooming yoyo all night long until she was 22 months old .. I've never got back to a normal sleep pattern - and that was 23 years ago (just cheering you up here!)

It's a huge worry about the redundancy threat .. glad to hear that you are able to think about some alternative plans..
