Hi Faye...Thanks.....I've been busy.....was an Avon Sales Leader as well as a representative.....gave up the sales leadership just before my THR and recently gave up my Avon area because I couldnt cope with the hills and steps up to the houses round here.....but found I missed it so am trying to get it started again without doing a full territory.....Just picking up people here and there that want it and will drive to them....some friends about 3 miles away want it...well i'll drive there take their order to them have coffee and a natter LOL....Others are from our arthritis care brance {just a couple} well I will meet them in our Metro Center have coffee and give them their order...that sort of thing. This past couple of days I've had a rotten cold and felt really miserable. I havent slept throught the night night since my THR {almost 6 months} so we are trying different tablets at night. The latest one is diclofenic...... but its one tablet and its slow release {12 hours apparently} that seems to be working but last night I forgot to take it and took it at 11pm {I usually take it about 9pm} I woke up with a thumping headach and feeling grotty ....dont drink but I would imagine it would be what you feel like with a hangover LOL....I'm recovering now but am not taking one tonight.....I'll start again at 9pm tomorrow night

    Hi Lyn
Didnt have a bad night last night...woke once {thats without that slow release tablet} but i've still got a thumping headache and at 7.30am apart from that not sure how I feel yet LOL
    I'll get washed and dressed and hope I feel better. I will try and pace myself but I dont know what that pace is anymore.....so I'll have to find out {probably the hard way LOL}

Ding-dong! Avon calling! It's good to hear from you hileena, but I'm sad you've been poorly, that's the last thing any of us needs. I hope you feel much brighter soon and can sort out the timing of meds - that can be crucial sometimes, can't it? How's your Micra? And what colour is it/he/she? Mine's a girl and she's a lovely lavender-blue. DD

    Hi DD,
Dont know the prope colour of my micra but its a dark blue.....She's fine at the minute but I should get her in for a check over......certain gears CLUNK a bit.....even if your still and move the lever in its neutral position it makes a clunking noise....she must be nearly 8 yrs old now and is fantastic....never gives up.....even the 7 weeks when I had my tHR and she never got moved....started first go when I got in...Did you hear they are making the last Micra now....no more...not even a different shape....what'll we do???

Hi Hileena, good to hear from you. Hope the hangover-feeling has lifted. I get that feeling sometimes when I've had not enough/too much sleep. Doing the Avon lady bit and socialising with it sounds a good plan ... once you are truly bionic and the other hip is sorted you'll probably be back to your full round!!

Set an alarm for the diclofenic tablet - great if it is working and you get a full nights sleep again.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Hi Hileena, sorry you are struggling to sleep - everything seems more difficult when you are not sleeping doesn't it? Hope the Diclo does give you some relief. It certainly helps me and I don't have any side effect from it (although I have been taking it for so long now that I'm probably used to it).

Sounds as if you have got the Avon round sorted now. Like the idea of working in the guise of socialising with friends!

    Hi Hileena
Nice to have you back, I am really sorry you haven't been sleeping, It does make things a lot harder to cope with.
At least you have your job in hand, and I hope the meds do the trick for you.
    Lots of love

Hi Everyone.....thanks for all your posts...its great to have this forum.
I didnt take that tablet last night just to get it completely out of my system. Took one tonight at 9pm and then remembered....Peter has a training in Manchester...full day....He'll be leaving about 5.30am so I'm getting up with him ...he says dont be silly....but he used to be sent away on jobs and I always got up with him...once again he says "you were a lot younger then LOL...thoughtful but not exactly tactful LOL
So it'll be interesting to see how I feel at that time of the morning after this tablet.....I dont plan to go back to bed but will have breakfast with him then when he goes put the telly on and get my V shaped pillow on the seetee and just stretch out and if I sleep I sleep....I probably will doze off. I dont have to worry....the first thing that is happening is I'm having coffee at a friends house but not until 10.30am.
Got a few more people who want avon books put through ...I have to sell £78 worth before I get commission....normally no problem but just starting back...not sure.
    Oh well I'll see
    Love

    Hi Hileena,
How are you today? Did things go to plan yesterday? I like to have look at my Avon book but my friend borrows it first :D My rep loves to go round with it as it gives her an excuse to have a natter.

Hows the cold? There seems to be one doing the rounds at the moment. Not surprised with this weather. We had the heating on a couple of times :(

    Hi Everyone,
Well....I get my avon books delivered Monday and then I'll get them out. Up to now i've just been chatting to people and checking if they would like a book......I have got a small order from one friend for next campaign and just opened an e.mail from a friend at the local arthritis care branch asking to meet for coffee as she has an order for me...so considering I havent really done anything yet...its a start.....If i can get enough people this is the way I like to do it LOL...meet one for a couple of hours in the Metro Center for coffee and get her order and the other one is a friend close by that I meet a lot.....all I want to do is sell enough to get commission {no matter how little} otherwise the books I have bought will leave me out of pocket.
My cold seems to have gone thanks very much. Feel much better and guess what.....for the first time since my first THR SLEPT ALL NIGHT !!!!!!!.....lets see what tonight brings

There is nothing worse than a cold. Poor you - Strepsils and Hot Lemons are essential! I hope you are feeling brighter today, hileena. My Avon order should be delivered on Thursday this week - I use their nail and feet treatments, they are some of the best around. DD
