Are you quite sure about that frogmorton? People believe that they are given new, shiny, properly-shaped metal hips and knees but I often wonder . . . . bits of spare plumbing materials would probably work just as well, and surgeons do like their hammers and screwdrivers. . . . . I think skezier would make a very good job of re-tuning the hospital telly - gaffer tape is useful stuff. DD

I love 'Hercule Poirot' - but only with David Suchet. I love the attention to detail, the clothes, the settings... Unfortunately I've seen them all at least 4 times now..

Can't resist Midsomer Murders either.. even though the acting is so 'hammy' ..

Finally - the brilliant original Law and Order and it's more recent spin offs (SVU, Criminal Intent, etc)

I don't watch tv either. I only sometimes look at the news.

I read or now and then watch an animal programme.

I struggled to find only 3, decided to leave the soaps out but watch Corrie, Eastenders and Emmerdale religiously.

    But my faves are:

Max and Paddy's road to nowhere
    Benidorm
    Lark Rise to Candleford
Ugly Betty and all the cookery programmes love master chef etc.

I love reality stuff as well, like the Hotel Inspecor and 3 in a bed and come dine with me, oh and 4 weddings...... oh there's just so many, I love my telly.

    Lark Rise to Candleford
    Any DECENT documentary
    the sky at night
anything to do with world history
current affairs so long as it's not to cheesy
    Ideal
    outnumbered.
    Mastermind.
And when I'm feeling a bit down Jeremy Kyle but only for a few minutes, after seeing the really sad and generally odd lot on there I feel totally refreshed and worthy of the space I occupy in the universe and completely at ease with the amount of air I breath on this over crowded little space rock

Oh! Moomins! Loved the books, not so keen on the telly programme tho. But the books . . . . There's a Scandinavian shop in town that sells hugely expensive Moomin stuff - I want a Hemulen mug, I just love the word, Hemulen. Good stories they were. DD

DD, how could I forget them? The one I loved best was the one about the comet..........Moomin had to walk on stilts because the ground was so hot - it started the entire gang of us kids wanting stilts - my dad made me a fantastic pair.

I remember them waking up after their winter hibernation. It struck me then that that was a good thing to do, sleep away the cold and dark. I do now, but I also sleep away the heat and bright! DD

Funny I was just thinking about the Moomins this morning (what I was actually thinking it that, thanks to all the pred I am beginning to look like a Moomin).

What about the Clangers - and Bagpuss? I have a furry Bagpuss hot water bottle cover with a little mouse attached to his foot. When you press the mouse's tummy he sings "we will mend him, we will tend him" etc etc. Love it!
