New York's favourite juice

NY's favourite (apparently) juice is advertised with the song

How do you like
Your eggs in the morning
I like mine with a kiss
Boiled or fried
I'm satisfied,
As long as I get my kiss . . .

Well, you can forget the kiss, far too early for that malarkey, but I love my eggs boiled - and boiled to extinction. If dropped they should bounce. I cannot bear them runny or in-between. I cannot stomach a fried egg in any shape or form - they are revolting. Scrambled is fine, again rubbery, and served with either smoked salmon mixed in, or with chilli sauce ribboned over the top. I like properly-swirled poached eggs and yes, they have to be well-done too.

There is something distasteful to me about dripping, bright yellow food. Drippy egg and soldiers - why? I just don't understand. The Husband adores them fried, and fried in lard. Repulsive is the only word that comes to mind. What about you and your eggs? Or is it just me? DD

Butter: that's another mystery. Why wreck the perfectly lovely flavour of somehting with a load of cow fat? It must be something about the colour yellow that turns my stomach. The only yellowish 'food' I like is salad cream/mayonnaise. I can't think of anything else. Yours, a limited DD.

I'm sorry to admit, DD, that I love runny eggs and have indoctrinated my girls into this. They love crispy bacon and runny egg sandwiches :D

Oooh, I love eggy bread but it's only me and my eldest who will eat it.

We also love boiled eggs as a whole family. If I'm boiling some for a salad, sandwiches, etc, I always boil a couple extra because someone is bound to pinch one or two.

We have curried scramled eggs - one of my girls' favourite dishes. You fry the onions and spices in a frying pan and then mix the eggs in until done. Lovely.

PS - The best thing about eggs? They're gluten free!

Cor! Curried scrambled eggs, now that's worth a shot, it sounds like kedgeree with attitude!

No. I'm not that fussy an eater (I can hear The Husband chortling away despite the fact he's not here) but there are a few things I dislike. Hmm, come to think of it more than a few! Will not bore you with the details. I have to go to work now. DD

I go through stages. At the moment I like dippy eggs and lightly done fried eggs. Sometimes I just cant stand them. Its the smell- and they taint the washing up so I have re-do everything again.

DD, you're right, you did do a good job of hiding the egg thread!

For me it's got to be fried egg, over easy as the Americans would say, which ensures that the yolk isn't runny. Two of those on lovely thick white buttered toast. Ooh, mouth watering.

Ooooooh! I haven't had a kipper since our holiday in Alnmouth in Northumberland. They were fabulous kippers, huge and plump and sooooooo tasty. Thanks for waking a fabulous memory, tonesp. DD

Got a kipper in the freezer. Cant bring myself to eat it cos of the bones,
My memories of kippers....my brothers fighting. Sunday morning, objects flying round my head, somebody running off and hiding(usually one of my 2 other brothers), my dads red face and trying to keep control!

    Oh boy.....

Bones are simply dealt with. The reward of the taste is enough. I love 'em, but the ones from supermarkets are not worth the money. DD
