    Hi Kim,

I am sorry your jinx is still with you... id it turn round 3 times anti-clockwise, with your eyes shut and chanting something? my Nan (who was broad Cornish) used to d that to ward off the Pyskies

Seriously though if it gets really swollen and if there is any bruising come in to the hand at all than you need to get it looked at. I wonder could you elevate it tonight at all? Oh Its so unfair and I do hope your jinx disappears!

As to normal my bones often crack, the lumber does this sickening clunk and sometimes my wrists crack and swell but that hand of yours needs an eye keeping on it cus mine have never been that bad. Sending a ((( ))) and a bucket of hopes and a very gentle nuzzle from primmy. Love Cris xx

mine are like that 24/7 I thought that was normal with RA it was one of my first symtoms ....my wrist crack ..my ankles crack....if i twist or turn them the wrong way im in agony,,,ive got used to using the side of my hands rather than the palms to stand up and that I have even started walking on the side of my feet...cause it hurts so much to put my full foot down,,I just thought everyone had similar probs how naive I am to RA.....Hope you can sort it out ....I wrap my hands in my heat pad to ease the pain....xxx

It's never happened to me but if the splint offers good support wear it. Anything that eases the strain on joints has to be a good thing! I hope it has settled, and you are feeling OK. You've had a bit of a rough ride recently, haven't you jaspercat? Let's hope things improve, and soon. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben
