2 weeks into meth

Hi everyone, 2 weeks into meth and so far not too bad :? Had a little nausea the day after each dose but in early morning, followed by an 'off colour' day.
I have a remedy for the nausea; peppermint tea, takes a bit of getting used to, but it helps me. Thought other newbie meth takers might like to try it Today I felt almost normal, even managed to clear the ironing basket

Hi Jenny,
That's really good news I really hope it will continue to help you and well done for being busy but... whats ironing I don't think I have met you before so nice to meet you Cris x0 -
Hi Jenny,
So glad to hear someone relatively upbeat about being on Meth. I hope the side effects keep and bay and you get some real benefit from it.
Peppermint tea is amazing, I am glugging it down by the bucket, the light weight easy to lift type bucket. As I find it helps calm my stomach with the viscous combination of ibuprofen and co-codamol I am taking.
Anyone wants to give it a go, I suggest a few teaspoons of sugar or honey, and if you are feeling really naughty a square of plain chocolate on the side:-)

Ginger works too - both are well-known stomach settlers. I am glad the meth appears to be doing something for you - no gain without pain for some of you, unfortunately, but the gain is a good thing! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

hiya jen,
i am 3 weeks into metho - what dose are you on.?
i started on 7.5mg for 2 weeks which i was reasonably ok with, slight nauseous feeling and a bit of tiredness but last night took 15mg and feel as though it has knocked me sideways. i started feeling sickly 4 hrs after taking it and through the night woke up a few times feeling sick (but haven't been sick). today i feel really wiped out, totally drained as though i'm ill, but i'm not if you get me ?
did anyone else feel like this after incresing the dose, dhould i ring rheumy nurse on monday ?

Pols,
That sounds like a pretty normal response to the MTX increase. It might be worth ringing the nurse to ask if you can have something for the nausea, but they can do nothing for the tired, wiped out feeling that happens for about 24 hours after taking it. It may be that as your body gets used to the dose it starts to fade. I sometimes take my MTX and feel perfectly fine, then take it the next time and feel awful. Just luck of the draw I guess.
I hope the MTX helps you.0 -
Hi Jenny, so pleased that you are coping with the meth and have found some non-drug help for the nausea.
Hope things continue this way and that the meth works well for you.
Love Tilly x0 -
I'm on 10mg Pols. I go back to rheumy nurse on 24th so may be increased then. I'm not a 'sicky' person which i guess helps. My off day comes 24hrs after the tabs so Thursday is a wiped out day for mepols090607 wrote:hiya jen,
