Hi all now does anyone on here have cervical spondylosis of the neck and if so do they ever get symptoms from it turning up in their legs?, I have it and have for many years and have always had bouts of numbness and tingling in the fingers and hands I also suffer from constant pain tinitus etc, but now I have been getting similar feelings in my lower legs, two weeks ago I had an MRI on my back and have a copy of the scan on CD and I've had a look at it, my neck looks quite messy but my spine looks fine to me, OK I'm no expert but there is nothing obvious sticking out!.

    Hi Mel
You can get tingling, and sometimes slight feeling of weakness, in the legs .
Exercise is the key, keep the neck moving, but make sure you you know what the excersises are, you should never take your neck all the way round.
Side to side forward and backwards, do you have phisio mel.
Hope this helps a little bit.

Hi Barbara I try and keep things moving but the rotation to the right is restricted, it's been getting worse over the past few years but ever since my knee op I have had real problems with my lower legs, as I said the MRI shows nothing obvious but my neck is another matter, that said what do I know about MRI's there very complex, going to see the specialist on Monday so will find out then I guess, I just thought it would be a good idea to ask on here about neck problems and lower leg feelings!.

Nerves are strung throughout the body, aren't they? That's how pain travels, so it wouldn't surprise me that problems in your neck lead to pain in the legs. I'm not a doc mell but it seems reasonable to me! I don't have the same problem as you but mell, it must be hell and make you yell. Take care - and don't do anything silly. DD

Thanks DD that's my line of thinking as well, bit like car or electrical wiring, it all comes from the CPU or brain and travels along a common loom, hell what do I know eh!.

you sweet talker you DD!, Hi skezer well thanks for the info, as usual I am desperately seeking answers to things, oh and no, I have no other help with this, I only got the MRI after trying to persuade my Gp it wouldn't be a bad idea, even then it was a struggle even with private medical insurance, it's just like it was 25 years ago when I started to complain about my neck, no one seems interested and treat me as if I am making it all up even when I have it in bloody writing that I am not!, Jesus it's like banging my head on a flippin wall!!!!!.
Sorry I get a tad pissy when I think about it!.

Hi Cris DD, well me neck is fecked sort of he thinks it will also be part of the problem, 2x2 fused vertebra and a few other odd things up there and a cyst at the T9 joint in me back, none of which require an operation as they arn't causing me real problems apart from pain numb feet arms legs etc!, not sure about the leg pain though still didn't want to say a yes on that one although the neck pain problem is well known, hell I've only put up with it for 27 years!.
So the sotry is still on going, next stop nurowhatsitabob man!.

Hi, I hope they can do something to help it settle down. I get a lot of neck pain and have a small osteophate on one of the cervical discs C4 I think, I get funny sensations in my arms and I get a bit dizzy sometimes. Love Sue
