and by the way...... if I hear Gregg Wallace shout " COOKING DOESN'T GET MUCH TOUGHER THAN THIS " , one more time, I will kick the telly.

Hi Alan

I quite agree about Gregg Wallace! Why does he have to shout so much? And why does the woman who does the commentary speak in that peculiar way? The title of the show is an exaggeration because the people aren't very well-known celebrities, are they?

Christine Hamilton can cry to order, especially when she thinks it will gain her more attention from the cameras. She's tough as old boots really. She has learned to play the media for all it's worth, and she is very competitive in reality.

I get very tired of hearing the same things said over and over again by the contestants eg.''I don't want to leave'', ''It means everything to me''. It's rather like the X Factor, but for cooks. You do get the feeling sometimes that they have decided in advance who is going to win.

Why do we watch it :?: I don't know, but there is little worth watching on TV these days.

sorry Alan, I gave up watching this programme ages ago, as I can't stand the two presenters and the twaddle they spout!

I would be surprised, with recent events in mind, if there was any type of fix .... they are big on being transparent at the beeb these days, but who knows?

'enjoy' watching is pushing it a tad far, but I like the invention tests, I am completely bemusd by the workings of a pro kitchen and you do occasionally pick up some useful technical tips. Torode is very patronising, Wallace is a fruit and veg vendor - he only has a palate for puddings. As Mrs Hamilton apparently remains, I won't be watching anymore. Can't stand the woman - how has she been able to build a 'career' out of the escapades of her weak and feeble husband? DD
