Irish proverb

“A good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures in the doctor’s book.”

Well, I can't always manage the long sleep, because Arthur often tries to prevent that, but I do like to laugh. There's nothing quite like a dose of laughter to make me feel better. Luckily, there are others on this site who have the same sense of silliness as me, so thank you to all those people who make me laugh. ( most recently on the Reupholster a tub chair thread ) It's often the threads which start off seriously, and then descend into silliness which are the best !

There's another saying,''A day without laughter is a day lost''. I know that we don't always feel like laughing when in pain, and when Arthur is doing his worst, but I think we keep our spirits up on this forum by making each other laugh.

So keep up the good work, and keep smiling b0223.gif

One cannot argue with that proverb, joanlawson. How the hell do those without a sense of humour manage life? Laughter is the best medicine, indeed. (Oh, and a good kip too!) DD

Well I use to say to the younger lads at Didcot power station if you don't learn something new each day about the plant you/we work on then you have spent to much time in the T room!, you could live there and never know all of it.

That's very profound, Mell :!: Not quite sure how it relates to laughter, but it's profound all the same
