Aching shin bones?

Morning all, its Sunday, a day when we can feel a little less guilty about having to take it easy yipeee
I think I am becoming a hypochondriac :?, every new twinge and ache concerns me. The past few nights I have been woken in the night with stiff uncomfortable knees and ankles, and a horrid pain that feels like its in my shins. Having suspected RA I can understand the joints becoming uncomfortable after being stationary for so long, but the shin thing is weird. Anyone got any tips on how to shift it, the ankles and knees stop after a few bends and rotations of the joints.
Its driving me slightly bonkers I have been up a few hours and my shins still ache.

Pain echoes around the body, it travels from one place to another, idly amusing itself on the way by triggering new twinges and stings. Walk about, take pain killers and ignore it - don't bless it with any attention at all! I know exactly what you mean - right, I'm paying it some attention now and it's shoulders, sacro-iliacs, knees, ankles and toes, the usual suspects. Oh **** it, that's enough, let's go back to ignoring it. Co-cos and a cuppa, methinks, and a little stagger round the garden. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Thanks DD, I know what you mean, the more you think about it, the worse it gets, its like an itch. Just hobbled round the garden centre and managed to manoeuvre a minature apple tree in to my car so now time for a snooze, me thinks in the garden as the sun is out :-)0

Well done you! I cannot walk easily without my crutches and I cannot walk far with them either! I save garden centres for a Monday morning - much queiter and I don't feel so much in the way. I hope your tree thrives. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Oh you should never be made to feel in the way, you are out and about doing what's best for you getting on with life! I wish I had your strength, I am grateful I can still get out and about and need to buck up my ideas!0

Thanks Delboy, I have had shin splints before when i was a teenager from playing too much hockey and then the pain was relentless, this seems to come on randomly, yesterday they were fine, last night the left one was bad but got up this morning and its fine. Very weird!0
