Hi
Well as some of you know I have been having physio since I had my THR 16 weeks ago, I had a session on Thursday and he signed me off, I have to keep doing the excercises and I still have my stick because I still limp without it, but I dont think I will have it much longer, I am not returning back to work tomorrow as I thought I woud I need a bit longer I see doc tomorrow about that.
Physio said he cant do any more for me and I have done really well, its been good knowing that I have somebody I can ask if I had any problems i.e the clicking hip, he said I could ring them if I had any worries, I must say that they have been great.

Hi Denpen,
thanks for update.
Do you use a walking stick or a crutch?
I'm the same - I limp and my walking deteriorates without a crutch when I'm out and about.
Keep up the physio. Mine discharged me a few weeks ago - she said if I needed more sessions to re-refer or ring up with questions.
I'm miles better than before the op, but it feels a long haul.
Hope goes well at docs tomorrow.
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -
Hi Denise
Glad to hear that the physio was helpful. It's good that he thinks you've done really well.
I had high expectations of skipping down the road at 13 weeks post-op (well, Wayne Sleep was leaping about in his new show at 12 weeks post op), but I'm more realistic now and am not bothered that I'm still using one crutch (although am using it less and less now).
Let us know how you get on in the next few weeks ..
Best wishes

Hi Speedy
I use a stick now, and yeah it is a very long haul, but it will be worth it.
Hope goes well at docs tomorrow.

Hi Marion
Yeah me too I thought I would be running around by the time I reached my 12 weeks, but its not that easy is it, still nearly there now.
