Best thing to do is ring your local social services office and ask for the person who deals with the blue badge scheme. He/She should explain how to go about getting one.
Hope this helps, Sandra 8)0 -

You can apply for one if you get dla, if not there is a section to fill in saying why you need one.

for more info.
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -
Your post was brief and to the point - I'm not sure what sort of info you want.
Begin the renewal process at least six - eight weeks BEFORE the expiry of your current badge. Obtain the form by any means you choose, remember the photo, photocopy your completed form and send it off to the relevant office, keeping your copy as proof of completion. Hopefully the badge will arrive before the old one expires. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Well, I just had an interview today for my first application for a blue badge. I have to say it was an awful experience. Was probably in there for less than 5 minutes and it was pretty much a tick box exercise. I tried to explain the complexities of my life and how, although I was walking, I was in pain all the time, etc. but she just moved on to the next question. I felt humiliated and demeaned by it. I can't imagine for one minute that I will get one as everyone except me had walking sticks and helpers and all sorts. So better luck to others!0

Hi, I hope you get the badge. These tick box forms are awful, it must be impossible for the person reading the form to know what your problems are and why you need a badge. Good luck, I hope you're able to have the badge.

Thanks Toni and Sue, don't hold a lot of hope though. Will appeal if I don't get as am struggling at the moment.
