DLA Tribunal

I have my DLA Tribunal tomorrow, I applied for DLA last Sptember and have been through all the stages, climaxing tomorrow.

Must admit I am feeling a bit nervous now, but, all I can do is tell the truth.

To be honest I don't hold out much hope but I would like one question answered: On receiving copies of all the medical reports, I found that the one from the ATOS doctor had been amended to make me look better than I was. When I questioned this I was told it was part of a routine audit. My question, why on the day before my decision was made did the decision maker who is not a medical professional feel they were qualified to change the findings of the 'ATOS Dr/Medical Professional/Disability Expert' without even seeing me.

This is not my understanding of what an audit is, merely a tactic to refuse DLA.

Wish me luck!

Anne

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Good Luck, hope you get it. It's disgusting the way we have to fight for it, it's as though we make up the symptoms

    Hi Anne,
Just wanted to wish you well for tomorrow. There does seem to be a theme on here where things are altered.
    Fingers crossed for you.

From reading posts on here it seemd that ATOS people routinely alter reports to make the claimant appear fitter than they are. Make your point about that - write what you want to say about it on a little piece of paper, perhaps along with other notes/ponts you want to make. You know we are all behind you: good luck. DD

Hi, The very best of Good Luck. I hope they award you as much as possible. I'm waiting for my ESA appeal and the waiting seems to be one of the worst parts. Anyway, I'll think of you.
Lots of love and good wishes Sue. xxxxxx

This has dragged on and on. So sorry you have had to fight so hard. Seems they dont want to give you DLA.
Its very unprofessional to alter a report so near to the appeal. I hope you can hilight this but I expect they will try to avoid that part.

Good luck really hope you have some good news Anne,
