This is usually associated with Methotrexate but can also be because the immune system is so low and cant fight off usual infections.
Is it more cold sore than ulcer?

I've just been to see my GP about sores at the corner of my mouth! He said that I'm either deficient in certain vitamins, so I've got some blood tests to find out, or it's an infection. He's given me an antibiotic cream to put on 3 times a day til I get the blood test results. He said the infection could be bacterial or fungal. If this cream doesnt improve it, and the bloods are fine it's a fungal infection needing a different cream.

I would pop along to the GP.

    Hi John :)

I have read that this can be fungal or bacterial so best to be treated appropriately. A visit to your gp me thinks! I have suffered from that sometimes but it is gone in a couple of days. Two weeks is a long time as it is not too pleasant.

    Hi John

    good to see you

I think I would check with pharmacist or Gp if you can to be sure. Sounds quite nasty and not something you want to have for two weeks :(

A reduced immune system can lead to all sorts of problems: if they are not clearing then a trip to the docs may well be in order. I wish you well. DD
