Egg sized? Strewth, that's big. I know that nodules can form but they tend to be on the smaller side. Doctor for you, I think, just to be on the safe side. Take care, which I know is a silly thing to say! DD

Hi Lavenderlady, not had this but it does sound strange and painful.

As the other peeps have said, really think you should get this checked out by the doc sooner rather than later.

Good luck, and please do post to let us know how you get on.

    Hi there,

Like the others have said, I think you should propbably get checked out by the doctors.

When I have a flare up I often get a row of lumps and bumps at the base of my skull all the way around to behind my ears. I have been checked by docs who have each said it is swollen glands that we all have on our heads. I also get swollen glands across the tops of my shoulders and my groin. Some of them have been egg sized and quite painful but there is not alot that can be done to help .

I hope your bumps disappear soon and you feel better.

    Hi

Yep, I often get an egg size thing at the base of my rear skull and also in the middle of the back of my neck and the right hand side of my forehead.

The Rheumy told me it is all related to my PolyArthritis and my SLE.

I'd say get it checked out.

    Hi Lavender

I think you should see your GP especially as it's uncomfortable.
To be honest I'm not sure what it is but as it's never happened before and you've not hit your head you should get in checked out as soon as you can.

    Hi Lavenderlady

Sorry, I've not come across this either, so I agree with the others, see what your GP thinks about it .. presumably he can ask for an early appt with your rheumy if he thinks it's linked to your arthur ..

Take care - and please keep posting ...

    Hi Lavenderlady

Just wondered how your "egg" is today and if you have managed to see your GP for advice.

    Thinking of you.

    Oh dear Lavendarlady

    Sorry I missed this thread.

    That sounds very uncomfortable .

Have you been able to get to the docs/

I am hoping you are a wee bit better today?

    Love

    Toni xx
