Hi all havent been on in a while, been enjoying my new grandaughter who is now 6 weeks old and my two weeks in Tenerife.

Dry heat is such a wonder for my joints I just need a lottery win to buy a villa out in tenerife. Its about the only hot place I get relief as other are humid and that seems to make them worse. I managed to get nearly 8 weeks of relief from my steroid which always happens if I have it before my holiday to Tenerife. Unfortunately it is now worn off and today Im back on the sofa and on tramadol. Looking at my grandaughter but not able to hold her for long periods or feed her so am peed off!! Hey Ho thats life I dont feel quite as down as before and thats probably due to the anti depressants I started prior to my steroid. Ifought taking them for so long but I think they are actually helping me deal with my mobility reducing again. I dont feel like Im hitting a slump like usual just taking it in my 'stride' (i know daft choice of phrase  ) To all like me who dont like the idea of anti Depressants I have to say its worth a go.

Much love to all will try check through some threads now to see whats going on with you xx

    Hi Theresa

Congrats on the new baby in your family.

I am off to see my new grandson tomorrow for
the first time, he is also 6 weeks old, trouble is
I have a 7 hour flight before I get to cuddle him,
and hug my 10 yr old grand-daughter as well.
I know what you mean about the difficulty in
    holding babies.

I love Tenerife too and and would like to spend
all winter there, good for the soul and def good
    for the arthritic parts. :)

So a lottery win for me would be a house in Canada
to be near my son and grandchildren, a house in England
to be able to see my daughter and a villa in Tenerife
to ease my achy body. Oh, big win needed for me
    I guess.

It'll have to be dreams only for now though. :(

    Hi BC

Thanks for your good wishes, yep it has seemed a long
time since I first mentioned I was going - but its finally
arrived, well, tomorrow that is and oh, its Friday the 13th
so fingers crossed we get there safe and sound and back
    of course.

Flying at 4pm from Manchester, so I will have a bit of
morning time to loosen up the old body.

    'chat' when I get back.

'Hope everyone keeps well (ish)' - to quote Vonski.

Hi Theresa...welcome back. :D so glad you had a good hol with your family and your lovely new granddaughter....precious eh?

good too that the steroids gave you some relief/ pain free days while you were there....but I know what you mean by feeling 'peed off' cause you couldn't hold your little granddaughter as much as you would've liked....arther is such a bu***r!!!
it's hard; but you know she will love you ...and you her...every bit as much whether you can hold her or not.

Hope it won't be too long before you can go back out to see them all?
