Getting up on a morning is a nightmare Im so stiff & trying to get out of the bath...well that's another story.

My OT is coming out for a home visit on the 27th so hopefully ill get some help.

    Hi TJC,

Nice to see you again but wish you were not having this pain. I find with mine if it really kicks all I can do is find a position its comfy in and stay there. Mine invariably is now is laid on the left and side with the knees slightly brought up but it used to be flat on the back with the knees raised.

I do hope you can get some help from the o/t but think also it might be best to go see your gp with this and see if they can help at all? Nice to see you again and I hope you soon feel less pain. Cris x

    Hi
I have been to see my doctor today & he has gave me Amitriptyline 10 mg.He said to be careful when taking them so I dont wake up feeling like Ive got a hangover.

This is new to me...does anyone else feel like this while taking this?

    Thanks tjc

I don't take it but have read numerous posts from those that do. Apparently the trick is to take it quite early in the evening so it knocks you out overnight, but you do wake up in the morning. It takes time to kick in, so take it too late and you're not knocked out until unreasonable o'clock in the early hours and cannot wake up. Hopefully those who do take it will be about to help you further. DD

    Hi TJC :D

I take amatriptyline 60 which helps with nerve pain and with sleep.

It does cause you to feel 'hungover' 'til lunchtime (zombie like my son said  ) so the trick is as DD said, to take it early enough in the evening to benefit from it's properties overnight ...but not too late that you feel you can't drag yourself out of bed in the morning.

After much trial and error I now take the amatrip at 8pm and that seems to be about right for me.

Hope it helps you sleep. :!:

Yak yak yak I dont like Ami.
I feel sick & a bit funny on them.My doctor told me to stop taking Gabapentin as they dont seem to be working.

I was just wondering how long do symptoms last?Does anyone think it could be a mixture of coming off one & just starting another?
