If I could hop I'd be hopping mad !!!!!! It's taken me 2 weeks to get my blood test results(they're my results not some b****y state secret) now I find out they didn't take enough for all the tests so I still don't know where I am. Why didn't they let me know so I could re-test, obviously that would be too easy. What a bunch of useless wotsits. As you can tell I'm grumpy cos I'm in pain, it's a shame they don't have the disease they're supposed to be treating, then we might get a better service. Does anyone else have the same problems or am I just very unlucky. This is just the straw that broke the camel's back as my 8 year old grandson had to go to hospital today with concussion and I think my husband has PMT. I need a knight in shining armour to whisk me away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel a bit better now I've had a rant, but it's hard when you feel as though you're banging you head against a brick wall with everyone. I'm sure some of you can relate to this.[/img]

Oh Sue,
That is not good at all. Have you got an appointment for them to take more blood? I think that you have been unlucky as normally the nurse has a written list of how many phials to take.
Hope Hubby is feeling better
How did you go on at the hospital did everything get sorted for the poor child?

Sorry you have had such a bad day.
Let us know how you go on.
Sending gentle hugs and good wishes,

Oh Sue you really haven't had a good day have you? I am so sorry.

How is your grandson this morning? Hope he is going to be ok.

Hope too that your husband is less hormonal today cos that really doesn't help does it?

In terms of your blood test no wonder you are so hopping mad! I would be too! I have found the same as you in the past but, because I have the same blood tests regularly, I now know what the nurse should be taking and, if I think anything has been forgotten, I ask at the time. I think they think I am interfering sometimes but better safe than sorry.

Hope you don't have to wait too long for the missing blood test and the results Sue.

Hope you have a better day today Sue.
Love Tilly x

Oh I empathise. Usually they go smoothly but I have learned to check the forms and fill in the bits that the 'professional' has missed. You cannot rely on anyone to do their job properly in any sphere of the world now. I hope the husband has sorted himself out: mid life crisis? Apparently men of a certain age are rushing out and buying motorcycles. I hope your grandson is OK too. DD

Hello

Sorry to hear of your experience, I understand your frustrations.

Early on in my treatment I discovered that my GP and Nurse were incorrectly calling a specific blood test by another name therefore were going to miss out on a very important blood test. Luckily I always doublecheck everything so showed them a printout from the internet of the blood tests my Rheumy wished them to take!
As I have blood tests every 2 weeks I know what boxes they should tick on the form and I ask to see the form when they have completed it. I couldn't care less about their withering looks to me. It is my health and my body.

Have you made another appointment to have appropriate bloods taken?

From now on, just write down what blood tests to be taken and cross reference with their form.

I hope the wee one's concussion turns out ok.
Hope your day gets better and better.
