Had my 1st Infliximab Infusion

Hi Iris, so sorry to read that you are still feeling poorly today. You asked if I had this when I was taking Infliximab. Yes, to some extent. I don't remember feeling sick, but I usually felt as if I had been runover by a steamroller the day after and more often than not had a bad headache a couple of days after (although didn't make the connection until hubby pointed it out). But I usually felt fine after a couple of days. Maybe it is just your body getting used to it Iris but if you are still feeling bad tomorrow, might be worth a call to the rheumy nurse for advice . Thinking of you. Lots love Tilly x0

Hi Iris,
Hope you are feeling a bit better tomorrow. I drink boiled water when I feel sickly seems to help.
I wonder if all the upset on the personal front has contributed to your feel off.
Just keep resting and snoozing when you can.

Morning dorcas, diabolic here, hoping that you have had a good night's sleep and are feeling a little brighter today. Did the peppermint tea help? Have you noticed any improvement in your joints since Thursday? Thinking of you, DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Fayann, Cris, DD, Marion, Tilly and Ironic
...thanks for your kind messages and suggestions.
I am feeling a good bit better today so am hoping that these side effects have all passed now.
not seeing any improvement as yet in the joints but happy to wait and see what happens over the next few weeks..... just counting myself lucky to be getting the Infliximab.
damsel these are specially for you as I know you have a penchant for them
did you know that dandelion and burdock is good for the old digestive system? we used to be given it as children as it is supposed to 'cleanse the system'...so it's not just for guinea pigs!
have a good day peeps....we got heavy rain...but it's a good excuse for floating around the forum a bit longer.
Iris x0 -
I have a penchant for nicking yours! Apparently dandelion is a good anti-inflammatory, according to skezier (who is wise in the ways of plants etc). It's good to hear that you are feeling brighter: let's hope that translates to your joints too. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Iris,

My mom always sips at soda water to take away the sickness feeling she gets with mtx may be worth a try.

Hi Iris,
Glad your not feeling so sick now and with a bit of luck it wont do that to you next time.
Elna has ironed Hopes dress so she will look much better next time For what its worth they come with me as well... only I get them all
Sorry you got rain, we have escaped lightly actually..... there was a lot heavy rain but been dry with bit of a stiff breeze so not too soggy out today.......
More special dandelion leaves and watch that DD doesn't nick em..... cus she got her own
You take it easy today and feel a lot better again tomorrow. ((( ))) and hope has left you a custard cream Cris xx0 -
Hi iris hope you are feeling better today
when ever i fel sick i suck on a extra strong mint, doesn't really work but it takes my mind off the nausea a bit, think i will try the remedies that have been suggested to you.
love juliepf xx0 -
Hi Iris - I can't tell you how pleased I am that you are feeling much better today! In terms of joint improvement - although I saw an immediate improvement - I was so disappointed when it seemed to wear off quickly. But, over the course of the next few infusions the effects seemed to build up so keep thinking positive! I'm willing it to work for you!
Love Tilly x0 -
Thank you DD, Rose, Brabara, Cris, Julie and Tilly
Damsel.... hope you enjoy the dandelions (didn't even have to 'nick' them) remember the diuretic effects of them though hope you are having a better day? saw elsewhere that you been struggling again.:( not fair!
Rose...drinking soda water's a great idea  thanks will remember that for next infliximab time but will try it after the Mtx on Sunday as it always makes me feel a bit 'off colour' too.
Barbara.. what beautiful flowers...thanks so much they are lovely. I am feeling so much better now thanks! maybe my system just needed a bit of priming.
Cris... how much does Elna charge for the ironing :?: she's got a big heart ironing Hope's dress every time  yards of cloth there.. isn't there.. for such a small baaramewe. she always looks lovely though so well done to Elna.
You dried out from yesterday's soaking yet? I think haz'll refuse to go back into your car next time.
it's still raining heavily here.... always makes me think of the need for soup!
PF... thanks for your good wishes. I tried the peppermint tea but it didn't seem to help so I changed to Cammomile... maybe the combination worked though overnight as I feel fine now...so need to reserve judgement til next time.:D
how are you feeling today?...did you get that comp room tidied or distracted like me and left it for another day
Tilly...it's been really useful to hear what the effects of Infliximab were for you and damsel. I just wish that the good effects had lasted for DD and that you had been able to stay on it too.
My fingers are crossed that Rituximab will be the drug for you. :!:
thanks again all. XXX0 -
Morning dorcas, how goes things? DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi damsel
Thanks ... you are so supportive DD. hope you enjoyed the dandelions? still got honey sticks in me bag if you'd like one?
I'm now back to my 'normal' self... whatever that means
Iris x0 -
Oooooh! Haven't had a honey stick for yonks - yes please! Back to your normal self sounds good to me: is the pain any easier? Do you have a little flame of energy licking about your person? That would be good!
skezier has been very quiet: I hope that's due to weather and nothing else. I shall text her in a mo. You take care and have a good day. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Hi damsel
no 'little flames of energy' yet :!:
I haven't heard from Cris either..... hope the chair hasn't grabbed her again.
Iris x0 -
Oh. I've suddenly realised that that was a poor image - you are not being burned at the stake! Skezier has been absent since yesterday morning - the weather was bad yesterday, so I guess that's the trouble. I've texted her - she probably won't get that, either!Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
