Did DWP/ATOS mess up? Does a bear poo in the woods?!

So I win my ESA tribunal in a record 20mins. You would think that everything is sorted, right?

Wrong! I get a letter from DWP saying I'm in the working group for ESA and I have an appt at the jobcentre on Thurs to see how they can get me back into work and my claim will be reviewed in November.
My letter from the tribunal says I'm in the support group. So I ring the jobcentre and get through to a lady who didn't know about the 2 groups (even though she is answering calls on ESA!). Finally got a call back from a lovely lady who knew what she was talking about. After sighing deeply she said its the medical company who have made the decision about which group I should go in. This is the same company who said I was fit for work at the medical, all of a sudden they have changed their minds!?! I pointed out that my son has an appt to have his jabs on thurs and I'm not well enough to go to both appts. She said not to worry and my case has been suspended until I send in my copy of the tribunal letter as this is the quickest and easiest way of them finding out what they've offered me (she said trying to get a response from the medical group can take ages).

What a waste of time, money and effort!

    Unbelievable!!

I have just been Googling ATOS and ESA and there are a lot of complaints ..

I wonder if the BBC would do a programme about this ridiculous system?

Does anyone have any contacts in the media world? What about the Watchdog programme??

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Atos send a so called medical report to the DWP, all decisions as to which group or benefit payments you are wrongly denied are made by the DWP.

The DWP can totally ignore the report if they wish and we would all be living in LaLa Land if they did just once.
