The OH has gone away and I made sure every problem was covered before he went but the WORLDS BIGGEST SPIDER is crawling up the bathroom wall. I am at a loss what to do. Dare I try to move it or shall I let my autistic son kill it as he is wanting to do....but he might drop it and then it will go running......

Oh Elizabeth
Its that time of the year for the big ones, I don't kill spiders, I try and catch them by putting a glass over it, then a piece of card slipped under, but please dont do what my OH did and slip a CD under them it crawls through the hole
Good Luck

Just think of all the fly's he's killed for you.........
Poor old spider.......
SAVE THE SPIDER..............

Throw a big towel over it and pick the lot up and then shake the towel outside?
I just pick 'em up and put 'em out, but lived for so long with my mother who drove me mad about spiders...........even waking me up to make me move one!

I was alright till I got to Del's reply.
I spent 20 minutes putting various pots under it and then thought about knocking it into the pot but couldn't! Son no.2 was threatening to spike it with Peter Pans sword but I dint have confidence in him!
Guess what I did? I phoned a near neighbour and he came and threw it out of the window for me! At 10.30 at night.Wish I could be brave enough to throw towels over it, get it in a pot or vaccuum it.
I am so glad I didnt read Dels thread until this morning as would have had visions of it returning.
It probably came through the toilet pipe as there is a hole in the wall and that was close to where we found it.
I have got to get through another night yet! I couldnt sleep until around 4 a.m.

Hi Elizabeth,
I don't kill spiders as I hate flies and spiders do help out with these.
I did see a gadget that might be useful to you in our Betterware catalague the other week ...

Speedy
PS what a lovely neighbour ...I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -
I do have a group of lovely neighbours and we try to help each other out although I think I overdid it this weekend!
I have seen that gadget but not sure how good it is!
The best thing would be to get over my fear I suppose!
