I am off to a Scootering do at Mersea Island and have dreadful pain in my knee! Not had problems with my knees for years.
I am supposed to be camping too. Will have to sleep sitting upright in a chair instead.

I assume it's the annual Mersea scooter rally Elizabeth.
Of course Del And of course I am still going. And nothing will stop you going to your biker do. Mind you I wouldnt take MTX as that would knock me out so taking it today instead and hope I feel better by Friday!
Now DD. What are you going to Mersea for. There is a lovely tea shop nearby. When I first met OH in 97 we popped in for tea and cake and scones. We cant stop for Sunday as it is sons birthday so need to be home for cake, candles and hugs.

I love Mersea. I want to live there, at the city end of West Mersea. I know exactly which house - we rent it from time to time, so when I win the Lottery (which I must start doing) I will make the owner an offer he just could not refuse. We don't go to the Company Shed - hugely over-rated as an eating experience by the Sunday supplements, but we do like to go there for a day out. Lovely place. They had the oyster dredgers there on Coast last night, with Mark Horton snuffling his way thro the experience. I told The Husband there's a scooter rally on, so we're not going now. I hope you have a lovely time there - go and look at the West end, walk by the river if you can. It's gorgeous. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Oh DD do still go...Everybody stays at that scout camp site and by Sunday they will far too hung-over to bother you. Anyway DD you know how to handle these wild boys. You would have a great time at the party! They'd love you.
It is indeed a lovely place to live and I wouldnt mind a house there either.

OK, I'll tell The Husband that, he might change his mind. It will also be weather dependant tho - lunch outside requires sunshine, not rain! I haven't been to Mersea since April so I need a fix! I hope you have a good time: don't tire yourself out, tho. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

I did have a great time but knee and foot were very bad. I had to go to bed at 2 a.m. but of course there were a very noisy bunch camping right near us (from Ipswich)! and they kept me awake- that and the rock hard ground.
I forgot to take my water to bed, as I have panic attacks without it due to horrid dry throat so had to wake up the OH and send him off to find some quick. But he did -bless him.
There was a nasty incident when somebody climbed up the very high climbing wall without ropes and fell just as he reached the top. It was horrible and he had to be treated at the scene- he had a collapsed lung and was airlifted out.
Unfortunately we had to come home on the Saturday and I really fancied staying another night.
Sorry you felt too unwell to go for your meal DD. What a shame as the weather was lovely and Mersea looked beautiful.
Until next year.

I'm glad you got there and enjoyed it. I'm lucky that Merseas is only a 45 minute drive away - I'm humira-ing tonight and have no work on Friday so a day out is on the cards. Lovely! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
