Hi I posted a question a few weeks about shingles and methotrexate, my syptoms didn't get better so I went to see another Dr he didn't think it was shingles so I told hime what I thought it was. Lyme disease, he listened to me and i went to hospital and it was agreed it was Lyme disease. I am on antibiotics for 2 weeks. I have RA and SLE. I feel really stressed about this condtion and what the future will hold becasuse it can leave you with all the problems of the condtions I already have!! I feel that there's nothing down for me. Does anyone else know anything about Lyme disease? I was bitten by a tick and have the Borrelli antibody. :(

Someone posted a great deal about it a few months ago. Try a search on Lymes, their threads should come up. DD

    Hi Milly,

I have sheep and they tested me for lymes a few years back as they thought it might be. For me it wasn't and my sheeps have never actually had a tick.....

Please try not to worry, its being hit with the antibiotics and the aftermath is not a certainty. I haven't had it but it i a risk factor with animals so when I did the training we went into it in detail. I can't remember the % that had aftermath but I think it was below 50.

You rest up and let the antibiotics do their job and fingers crossed it will be gone with no really bad effects for you. Sending a ((( ))) and a lot of hopes you will soon be a lot better. Cris x

Look down the list of topics on the forum, in capital lettters there's one called my arhtritis was found to be lyme disease. Bumped up means that someone has replied to an old thread and thus it moves up the charts! DD
