Hello all.
Just posting a wee grumble.
This week I have been feeling absolutely rubbish with everything that can swell up swelling up etc.
Slept about 2.5hrs last night however when got out of bed discovered that I had the agility of an olympian gymnast ..... why am I moaning about this? ..... had a Rheumy Consultant appointment this morning. I ALWAYS feel on top of the world when I go to see the Rheumy!
Rheumy said that my joints and tender pain points etc are vastly improved and she says that I should go out and find a job again!
I cannae wait to get back to work however I know that I couldn't work just now, I am just on a good miracle day today 'cos seeing her. I was greeting my eyes out last night with the pain.
So she will have written her opinion in my file which is not good as I am appealing the atos medical.
Ho hum. I am now scowling at my joints that have betrayed me and hoping they are too scared to rear their ugly swelling heads :x

Moan, moan, moan, blah blah blah!
Carol

It's ****'s Law, made manifest in you. Obviously your diet has helped things improve in some ways, but the whole picture of you hasn't been hugely altered yet: that will take time. It must be frustrating being able to move but feeling so rubbish: I have no idea what to say on that one - well done, carola, you've rendered DD speechless!
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

    Hi Carol

Why does that always happen? Same when you make a gp appointment about anything, usually by the time you get to see them you are beginning to feel better or that day the symptoms miraculously disappear. I take no notice of that now and never cancel an appointment because as sure as eggs are eggs, the symptoms creep back again.
    GGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :x

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

    That is SO typical!!!

I think you should get your next rheumy letter sent to a friend's house so you and arther don't know when it is, then your friend can just pop along and collect you and hopefully catch you at your worst!!

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Thankyou my Friends for the hugs and words.

Speedy - that is an excellent idea!

    Feeling more positive today.

Today I am going to start what Rheumy recommended re walking - I've to start walking 30mins a day. I'm pooped and sore if I try to go to supermarket but heh ho I shall try. Don't think she realised that she will need to trawl through a symptoms diary now though as I am going to keep a daily diary and give it to her!
