I heard from PALS today, they have got me an appointment for 11th October which is a lot better than next April and I should be alright till then. It will give me time to sort myself out with the questions I want to ask and maybe I will have an answer to my letter by then so I'll know where I stand. Feeling much happier now but tired after going to the zoo with 2 of my grandchildren which I couldn't have done without the steroid, I'm glad I didn't have to disappoint them. Looking forward to a quite weekend. Hope you can all feel as happy as I do and have a good day tomorrow.

PALS are patient advice liaison service, I think every hospital has one, try looking on your hospital website it should have a phone number and e-mail address. They help when you are having problems with hospital/department or doctor and I think aspects of your treatment, they can intervene and try to solve the problem for you. They helped me by getting me an earlier appointment which I couldn't have done by myself without getting fobbed off or passed from one place to the other.Hope this helps/

Morning nanasue, that is good news. That is only five weeks or so and that will soon pass. I am glad you enjoyed your day out - I hope the recvoery time isn't too long! Steroids are lovely things, when they work. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

Hi Nanasue - that's really good news! Glad the steroid injection is helping and that you were able to get to the Zoo. Enjoy your quiet weekend and hope you continue to feel more chirpy!
