We are going away tomorrow morning {Fri} will be back Mon evening. Cant say I'm looking forward to it.....we are going in the caravan {tourer} I usually enjoy this. but I havent recovered from not pacing myself over thebank holiday and I dread sleeping on that hard setee in the caravan. Wish we wern't going but its been booked and it will be our last chance to get away before my 2nd THR then it will be the middle of the winter Oh well....will be back on Tuesday

Could be worse Hileena, last weekend the weather trashed hundreds of tents and caravaners had their holls ruined. Have you thought about replacing the matress on your bed their are are some really good lightweight camping ones around these days, how about a memory foam on top of the sofa.

Hi Lulu, Its not actually a matress in the caravan.....its the cushions you sit on and the ones at the back of you...put together. I did get a memory foam topper for a caravan bed...Used it once....not sure how much good it was. If I got a matress where would I put it during the day....the topper rolls up. Oh well at least it looks as if the weather will be good so like you say....lucky in that respect

    Hi Hileena,
Sometimes when we are not looking forward to events, things turn out to be "A" ok.
Hopefully this is going to be a case in point
Did your mattress topper not fit? Have you got time to get some sort of cushioning?
You will be having some good sunshine I think this weekend. Think of all the freckles you will be getting!

Hi .....dont know what it was....it seemed to fit OK....but I didnt feel anymore comfortable.....I'm sitting thinking about it....one of the things I think the problem is .....I'm in a sleeping bag which is fairly confining....and since THR i really sprawl ib the bed. I'm wondering if a thick continental quilt put on the setee, me lie on that and then pull the rest of it over me....its kings size.....still dont know where we could put it tho' LOL love Hileena

I think your on to something there. Could you borrow a double one?
I have to stick my legs out of bed so it would'nt suit me being in a sleeping bag.

I wish I had thought about this earlier....we are going tomorrow morning. I have a double one but a very skinny one.. dont know if there would be enough heat in it in a caravan...I'm being very negative ...sorry.

Things that one doesn't look forward to often turn out to be pretty good and sometimes the things that really excite turn out to be damp squibs. I sincerely hope this is the former. DD

    Hi Hileena

I think lyng on a thick but cheap duvet would help.. Could you buy one, en route, from a supermarket perhaps??

Hi...everyone......think the duvet is going to be the best idea.
Have to check with hubby about the packing of it...do we have space etc I take my mobility scooter as well.....dont always use it but do need it sometimes towards the end of a day when we are away so that takes up room. No problems without that in the car LOL

    Hi Hileena

Have a lovely time in your caravan. I know how you feel, we have a tourer and sometimes you don't always want to go. But I always enjoy it when we are there.
We bought some raskelf toppers for our bed and now wouldn't be without them.
Hope the weather stays nice for you.
    love juliepfx :)

    Hi Hileena
Sorry I have only just seen this, I do hope you have a lovely break, and most of all a good rest.
If this sunshine carries on I think you will be glad you went.
I have noticed when Im not looking forward to something it usually goes well.
I know what you mean about getting comfy, I have a feather topper, we take it with us to hotels and where ever, but you would laugh if you see the size of it, I have wondered about these blow up thingies, to put on top of a bed.

Well, we're heading towards Monday evening so I'm just popping in to say I hope you had a good time, despite your uncertainties!

I tried a new Avon thing today (well, it's new to me), the Face Perfector. It's good, but it hasn't made me look like Kristen Scott Thomas. May I have my money back? DD
