Hi everyone

I hope that you are all doing fine and enjoying this lovely September weather.

I've got an appointment about my shoulder next month - I can't believe how long it takes to see these specialists - it'll be nearly 5 months. I'll be glad when I know what exactly is causing this pain/discomfort. It wouldn't be so bad if it was my left shoulder but it's my right. I've obviously worn it away with decades of ironing, housework etc!:lol:

We're off for a week in Cornwall tomorrow. I'm so looking forward to it especially spending time with my OH. We're considering going to the Eden project but I've heard it's quite a walk. Has anyone been there? If so how did you manage? I've got one good knee since my TKR but the other one is very bad now.

With regards
Sharmaine

Hi Sharmaine,Several months ago I had shoulder and top of arm pain,so bad it kept me awake at night. :( I saw a specialist after some x rays were taken and it showed I have 'spurs' on the bones.I was sent for physio for several weeks which did help and although the pain has eased considerably,if I over stretch the arm,the shoulder becomes quite sore.Ive read on here that quite a few members suffer with painful shoulders.Hope your appointment will go well for you. Hi Breane

I hope it is only spurs - it will be nice to know and then treat it. Mind you the other arm has started to 'go' the same way! ouch.

Eden project well worth visit. It is a long walk but they have transport from car park to the actual project. Why don't you ring and see if they have wheelchairs for hire just for the day. It would be a pity to miss it cos you cannot walk round

    Hi Sharmaine,

I am so sorry I missed this  Would have told you Eden is disable friendly.

I hope you had a good time and the weather wasn't too bad this last week was it? Again I am so sorry I missed your post but did you go there? Cris x

    Hi Sharmaine
Sorry about your shoulder, hopefully they might offer you an injection in the shoulder, they worked brilliant for my cousin, but they do say that not everyone gets relief
The Eden project, they do have wheelchairs that are free, you cant book these, but you can book one of there mobility scooters, but at busy times you cant always get them, so book early if you want one.
Hope you have a good time
    Barbara xx
