Hi wonky,

I wondered how you've been over the weekend and if the rash, sore throat and tiredness have eased any :?:

Is it today you'll hear back from the docs about your blood tests :?:
(maybe I've got that wrong  )

I really hope there are improvements and the docs say you can get back on your normal arther meds, including the Mtx, soon.

love and (((hugs)))

Iris xx

HI to everyone and thank you soooooo much for all the good wishes.

I feel slightly guilty reading them all, cos I wasn't on yesterday and most of today cos I was busy catching up on all the things I hadn't got done

    a quick update:
The sore throat is almost better :D:D
The rash is no better (or worse) and still itches :(:(
The naproxen seems to be working :D:D:D:D:D
The lansoprazole has settled my stomach :D:D:D:D
The hospital didn't ring on Friday :(:(:(:(
    The hospital didn't ring today  :x :x :x :x :x

Today I have had more energy than I can remember for a long while, but I fear that as a result I may have overdone things a tad    so will have to have a lie-in tomorrow and behave  (it is meant to be raining here so no temptation to be out in that weather for either of us in the morning :lol::lol: )

Littlelegs has been well behaved until this afternoon, when she took exception to another dog entering 'her' house  but she soon realised that the other dog had been invited, and growling at and trying to bite the house guests was not allowed

I really hope to hear from the registrar tomorrow, or I don't know what to do on Wednesday when I would have been considering the MTX. :? :? :? hopefully I will hear soon.

thanks again for all your concern - it is really appreciated.

    hugs

    Hi wonky

Good to hear YOU so postive :)

Naughty littlegs  Mind you not sure I blame her really.....

    Hi Wonky,

I am another agreeing with Iris, give them to now and if they haven't rung then phone them. I hope you are allowed to start it again as it does seem to help you doesn't it?

Any more news on the funding and that?

Little legs has obviously had lesson 12 from him..... only he sometimes doesn't stop if its a dog he doesn't like..... can be a bit belligerent but she does have more manners than him! He is in the doctor costume just now but torn as to who he has to 'nurse'....... I kinda hope its not me :lol::lol: Oh how selfish! Slurps and ((( ))) as well as hopes you got to talk to them today. Cris xx

    Hi Wonky

Thats for your update - I agree phone the hospital back with regards to taking your meth this weds. They should have all the blood results back now and so can decide. They have probably just forgotten and need reminding. If they are not sure then they could call you and tell you that. I know, you don't want to be a pain. You are not - that is what they are there for!!!

Glad you have caught up with lots of jobs - make sure you have a long lie in though.

Take care - thinking of you.

Hi Wonky, glad you are feeling better (even if you did then over do it, so easy ...) Hope you hear back from the medics - if not perhaps start a daily ringing/badgering campaign ...

HI Everyone .......... I know you are right that I should chase them .... but to be honest I can't be bothered today.

Still not heard anything..... so looks like no MTX tomorrow, and to be honest I don't want to start it until they tell me what my rash is!

I only have an answerphone to ring ... they only take messages at 12 noon each day ...... and well I have an appointment on Friday (unless they cancelled that and didn't tell me, like happened last time  ) so I guess they are waiting until then to tell me what is what.

I could try ringing the hospital and asking to speak to the consultant's secretary but that involves yet another person, and well there are 5 involved already and I'm getting confused enough

I'll ring the hospital tomorrow ..... check the appointment is still on, and if it isn't, then I'll shout I promise

I did rest this morning, as boy did the bones protest :lol::lol::lol: but I have done some washing and some tidying, so I don't feel I've wasted the day either!

thanks again and hugs to you all

Hi W, glad you are feeling better. Like you, I'm waiting for a phone call from consultant/nurse/somebody to tell me what they've decided about the Mtx. I've been off it for four weeks now. They did imply that I may not restart it but I need something :?

well .... I know more than I did before I went to take the dog for her walk :lol::lol::lol::lol:

popped in to the GP surgery on my walk to let them know I had not heard from the hospital so didn't think we could have the MTX today. Tole the receptionist why ...... and then discovered how useful it is to be a real regular at the surgery and be on first name terms :D:D

She looked me up on the system (I moan about IT but sometimes .... just sometimes .... I bless it  ) and not only do I have a rheumatology appointment on Friday (I did know this but half thought they might cancel it having seen me last week) but I have an appointment somewhere ( :? :? ) with a dermatologist

wonder when they're going to tell me :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: If indeed they plan on telling me?!! ..... maybe friday?

the laugh is that as far as the GP surgery is aware .... the system says ...... I have agreed this appointment

So ...... it appears that the dermatologist wants to see my rash :? :? :? good news or bad :? :?:

5th MTX injection missed, but maybe I'll be able to get it next week :? :)

I'll let you know how things go on Friday .... I'd better get packing my pockets now :wink::wink: 12.15 on Friday & 2.10 on Monday ..... and my bit of research on the web seems to suggest that on MOnday I'm going to be going to a new hospital too!

oh what fun we have with arthur in tow :(
