Had loads of trouble with my forefinger the last few months, it keeps locking into place one minute then the next I can't bend it from the knuckle. Well goes the hand therapist today and she says it's trigger finger and to ask rheumy on thursday for a steroid injection into it to see if it will loosen/improve !?
Whatever next...I am 36 and feel 76 !!! Some days I feel so peed off with it all !!!!

Thanks Guys,
Going to mention it to Rheumy on Thur and hopefully he will agree with what the hand therapist said to do (inject it). Although the hand therapist in a round about way said 'he's a consultant and he doesn't like being told what to do ?' - Oo-er !
Will keep you posted !0 -
Hi Pols,
Nice to see you
Sorry you have anther thing and I so hope the injection will be given and helps!
I gt similar at times.... my index finger just does its own thing and I get a lot of cramp as well and now I am wondering if steroid jabs might help that>? So thanks flower and hopefully it will help. Cris x0 -

Hi Pols
I was diagnosed with trigger thumbs by a hand consultant. I too had injections, which did last for about 6 months. In the end I had a small operation on both thumbs (not at the same time ) to rectify the situation. I have a finger which occasionally decides to lock but at the moment, have done nothing about it as it is not too bothersome yet.
I hope an injection sorts it for you or at least gives you some respite for a few months.
Luv

ps I have OA so do not see a rheumiThe happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.
If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.0 -
morning pols
hope you get the injection tomorrow and it gives you some relief.
