Well done to you handsy, that is wonderful. A little and often is far better than a splurge every once in a while! I wish you well. DD

    Well done you John!

Good to see you keeping up your new positive frame of mind - hope it gets easier riding the bike.

Exercise is so good for us isnt it? :)

Don't you just love cycling. I got on my bike for the first time in a year about 3 weeks ago. I was knackered after about 5 mins!! I have to keep my journeys short but I love the feeling of working out again. Just a shame I get sore ankles afterwards. In any event I am a fair weather cyclist so I think the bike will go back into the shed until the sun comes back out

    Keep up the good work

    Hi John :)

I love my bike. Doesn't matter if you do not cycle far. Good for you for borrowing a bike and having a go. :D You are doing well.

Go careful now and look after yourself,

    Luv

    Hi John,
Now about the carrier boxes that fit onto the bike. Please make sure they are big enough to carry all the paint pots and brushes.
There is a list of us awaiting your decorative skills but don't forget I was the one who offered the bacon butties :lol:

Seriously though well done for getting out on the bike. Not sure I would remember how to ride a bike. Could be interesting...

well done! biking is a great way to keep fit and i'm sure you'll notice a huge difference after only a few rides. when i first started last year i could barely do one lap of the park without stopping (and I didnt have RA then!) but it gets easier once you have your technique down and a bit more muscle.

and the others are right, short rides most days are way better than long rides once every two weeks.

    good luck!

I see from your profile that you used to like walking in the countryside. I used to do the same and to replace walking have found that some of the larger nature reserves run by the RSPB and Wildlife Trust have mobility scooters which means I can still go and see birds and wild flowers. Most larger reserves also have nice tearooms and shops. I keep buying more bird boxes and have even had a bumble bee nesting in one. We also still have some swallow chicks in a nest and some house sparrows have recently fledged from under the workshop tiles. Watching the birds keeps me occupied now that I can't do as much!
