Thought this day would never come but have felt well enough to go out, socially rather than to a doctor or hospital :D Had a great evening. Hurrah! Still got a pounding headache, mind you, from the sinuses, but even so.....

Just thought I would say something positive for once

Well done Sally! :D:D:D:D:D Makes you feel better doesn't it, except for the sinuses which I do hope are improving?

I saw your post but forgot to say.... I used to get really bad sinusitis as a kid and they used to make me breath up hot water and eucalyptus.... it really did help though not very pleasant.

I a so glad you actually escaped for a min and really hope you will be back to normal soon. Cris xx

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

thanks everyone! sadly my joy is short lived as have now developed a very sore throat and rather ominous white spots and patches on back of my throat! Waiting for doctor to ring. What did I say before.....what else could go wrong?

My consultant also just rang and has taken me off methotrexate completely  and no replacement drugs yet just higher doses of steroids. He's going to bring my appointment forward. Said anti tnf's can also have problems with chests - so what is left now :?: I've got fridge full of mtx injections - haven't used one of them! How disappointing.

Hi Jilly here , know just how you feel . I go to the sea front at Brighton where we live and simply relax taking in the sea air . Always makes me feel able to cope with anything , moral of the story is do what suits you personally to make you feel refreshed and happy .

Send the meth back to the chemist or whoever, and put a bottle of fizz in there instead. Nicer to look at and nicer to take! Look after yourself today salamander, your throat needs nursing. I hope you are feeling a bit better. DD

Keep in touch with us please Sally cus we will worry! Sounds like the mtx didn't do you too many favors there and with the cold you have had it would seem you now got tonsillitis possibly? I do hope you can be seen today. Sending ((( ))) and hopes. Cris xx

Hi Iris and Cris, might have posted somewhere else but have oral thrush. Got some nystatin for it. I am slowly getting better - I think! Off to the hairdressers in a minute, might make me feel a bit better about myself plus a bit of lippy!

how are you doing Chris? And I - of course :)

Thanks for the compliment on the hair Cris! Yes, it's good cut and makes me feel less of a mad old woman - not that I am that old and not that mad either :) Thrush treatment seems to be working as throat a bit better too.
