I wish you well but HRT might be dependant on the meds you are taking. I wasn't allowed it 'cos of the anti TNF but now I'm glad: it's over and done with, not delayed until a future date. I couldn't handle it in my later life, I think! DD

hi, just read your post and thought id send a msg,i had a early menopause and it was all over by time i was 30 but was suffering, sweats, palpations, severe anxiety, dry skin, thinning hair, aches and pains and numerous other symptoms and kept getting told it was the menopause,i changed drs surgery, for no particular reason and they did a M.O.T which is normal and found i had an underactive thyroid, just wondering if you have had yours tested cos of you symptoms being very similar,it may be the menopause but just thought id mention it, hope everyone is well, lucy x

I have an underactive thyroid which can make you feel so tired its unbelievable plus feeling cold and a dry hoarse throat, all sorted with thyroxine, but i also had a full hysterectomy taking both ovarys out I felt the less left behind the less to worry about in the future plus PCOS made it more of a reason to get rid of them, my DR refused HRT as he said I would only be delaying the event which I didn't realise, the sweats are controlled by Dixirit plus a homeopathic pill called Sepia available from health shops and Boots etc little green bottles you've probably walked past them, these little pills are amazing they stop the flush as you suck them, I have bottles in my bags beside my bed in pockets everywhere, thinning hair is a sign on underactive thyroid so as suggested a good idea to get it checked , got my yearly throid function blood test monday, in fact I take more thyroxine then my friend who had her thyroid removed due to cancer years ago, so its a complex thing to get sorted Good luck

    Hi Deborahjane,

Sounds a bit like it could be the menopause and i know my gynie doc said that taking bloods doesn't help too much as they change so much through out the month deending.

See if your gp will let you have some hrt ( please don't have the horse one) as it could well help you. really hope its a viris and gone now. Cris x

I supported a very good friend going through IVF and learned a lot about our 'bits'

Apparently the bloods are only accurate on that given day (my friends had been ok, but she produced no eggs at all :( ) and woen are all going thorugha perimenopause up to 10 yes 10 years before we actauuly stop having periods for good.

Shocking eh? bUt it means YOU are likley right .

At least you could start taking some herbal stuff - if thats ok with your meds?

    Love

    Hi Deborahjane
I had a hystertectomy 13yr ago when I was 27 & I also have my ovaries. I have been feeling like you for a long time off & on.I was also getting a lot of thursh (downstairs). After seeing my GP & having a blood test which came bad no menopause but I do have a under active thyroid.
My GP decided to still start me on HRT because he said it is a long time since my operation & bloods dont always show up menopause.I am now 2 weeks in & Im starting to feel a difference now.So if your symptoms continue I would go back to your doctor.

I hope this makes sense to you (Im shattered today :())

    Take Care
