Bless you...god you are having a bad time. I am sure it will all get sorted in the end. I have read somewhere that some treatments do cause problems with the heart...i have got that right haven't I?
You are right with good and bad days. I must admit when i get down i am a right miserable c... This does not happen too often as i normal take myself off for a little self pity session and do the WHY ME and then get back to normal.
It is very hard because everyone looks at me and i appear OK and i don't want to come across as a wooo is me type of person but you do sometimes wish some people could get just a taste of pain to make them understand stand.
Well i am off to work the dog with hubby and our young lad...exercise is good i here helps the joints??? learning all the time. Thanks god i have been doing of the things without knowing. Time will catch up with me eventually but i am dame sure i will make it work hard to get a hold of me too quickly.
Catch up later and hope today you are having a good day...that is to everyone. The sun is shining on all of us today..yepeeee0 -
Hi lupin
just wanted to say hello and welcome to the forum .
we're a friendly bunch and between us know quite a lot about the various forms arther takes. and what we don't know the helplines are sure to be able to either answer or signpost for further information. so you've definitely come to the right place!
As others have said too .... I'm also so glad to read that you've not got a recurrence of cancer. that in itself is such a relief. but I know what you mean by being angry at your body for letting you down. :? that's the meanest part of having arther... your body is damaging itself either through 'wear and tear' OA or an autoimmune inflammatory arther such as RA, PA etc... so it feels as though you're having a battle with yourself.
Once you have a diagnosis of the type of arther you have (and that can take a bit of time to discover) it's then that reading about it can be very helpful..... and there re lots of excellent publications here and on other sites. be careful though as there is some dubious info. 'out there' too so best to stick to reputable sites.
I agree though that while you wait for a diagnosis you should have proper pain relief and ant inflams, so definitely go prepared to ask your doc about alternative meds to keep the pain and swelling under control.
nice to meet you lupin (love the name btw...as lupins are my fav flower ...and of course I have a flower name too )
hope you enjoy being part of this great community... see you around the forums!.
please let us know how you get on at the docs.?
