Hi Coco,
I am sorry your going through this but its normal. I have stemetil to counter the dizziness and sickness and it helps me so much.
They are giving you decent pain and anti-inflammatories there aren't they? I wonder if the pain clinic would be a good move? They have been a god send to me in helping keep the pain and inflammation down. I know I have been lucky to have such a good pain clinic consultant.
You look after your neck if its doing that to you you need to try not to aggravate it too much. Sending you a gentle ((( ))) and believe me I know how horrible necks are. Cris xx0 -

Coco, you is normal, and yer `ead won`t fall off!
This isn`t easy, when you are in so much pain, BUT, if you can bring yourself to do the "rolling" exercise, it does loosen things up. Well, it does for me.
Drop your head as low as you can onto your chest, then gently roll it to the left, tip it back as far as you can, then roll to the right, and back onto your chest. At first, you will feel even more dizzy, and you will probably hear lots of crunching noises, but if your head doesn`t fall off with that, you`ll be fine!.
Just read back. I am trying to help, but you`d never guess from what I`ve just told you to do!.........Ange.x.0 -
Hi Coco,
Oh you need more than that! It does annoy me cus I had the same as you and by the time it was actually looked at it was too late to operate.....
Right I think what you should do is ask your gp to refer you to an orthopedic surgeon... they deal with oa and don't panic oer the word surgeon cus they don't always operate!
I also think you should ask your gp for decent anti-inflammatories AND decent pain relief!
The stemetil has worked so well for me.... but occasionally I still have a giant vertigo attack break through it but before I was given t that was a daily occurrence and it trashed my life so lease see if you can get some. When you take the prescription in write 'could I have stemitil please' otherwise you get the generic and for me they don't work half as well......
You look after that neck cus its obliviously active just now. Sending you a ((( ))) and please get a referral! Cris x0 -

Hi coco,
glad your head hasn't fallen off  but the pain of arther in the neck is fierce. I sometimes have to hold my head on either side to get relief. and use heat to try to ease the pain. I too have the crunching noise when I torn my head...it's quite disconcerting isn't it?
I do hope the pain improves but as others have said.. you need to see either rheummy again...or ortho for investigations, advice and better treatments. :?
(if you have a useless rheummy then ask to be referred elsewhere!)

thanks dorcas, its good to know im not totally mad, hearing noises is bad enough. just as long as it dont turn to voices aye hahaha
i dont have a rummy or an ortho, im still under a general meds wally i am going to see gp and ask for a referal to see an ortho i think as i cant go on like this.
i hope you are ok today, {{{[hugs}}}}0 -
Hi coco,
hearing voices isn't so bad...I talk to myself all the time... and am never lonely.
I forgot to say .. yes apply for DLA. :!: here's a link that explains the ins and outs. Only thing I would add is to get help from CAB with completing the forms.

Hi Coco
I hate bad necks :x
Glad your head is still attached
When mine goes I can loose feeeling in my skin on shoulder and chest - others get pins and needles in tehir arms headaches and dizziness all part of it.
What a nightmare
Ice packs heat packs - the lot all help as do your meds, but I find it a time issue really....sit it out and take care
Love

Thanks toni,
i have become good friends with my wheat pack and found some stimitil in the cupboard which my daughter had for her ear problems so i took one of them which has helped a little. ( i know your not to take stuff prescribed for anyone else and im naughty but desperate for some relief)
hope you have a good afternoon
